  1. It's not about you or me being right....I learned a long time ago that I have no control over the weather so I do not get angry/upset/melt when the weather doesn't deliver weather that I enjoy.
  2. In other words I did not expect the winter of 21-22 to be cold and snowy.
  3. UHMMM please point to where I cancelled winter and/or wrote that winter is over...
  4. They could take a page out of the developmental process of the chess super program Alpha Zero.
  5. Perhaps Europe and the US should start over and work together to develop a new weather model.
  6. There is nothing wrong with adjusting a seasonal forecast as things play out. Far too many professional forecasters and amateur forecasters cling to their forecasts for far too long. Some seem to think that adjusting a seasonal forecast makes them appear to be wrong. And for some it is a blow to their ego. Nearly everything we do in life involves making adjustments at some point.
  7. I never bought into the winter of 21-22 being normal to below normal temp wise and snowy.
  8. Thread See new Tweets Conversation Eric Fisher @ericfisher Gotta be one of the most jarring day 4 differences in modeling I've seen in a while GFS: significant storm Euro: absolutely nothing at all 1:22 PM · Dec 22, 2021 from Boston, MA·Twitter for Android
  9. Honestly I would feel better if he called for flurries if and when a storm pops up lol..
  10. .....and are those calls always wrong????
  11. Treat yourself to a Dairy Queen Candy Cane Blizzard because it is the only blizzard that you will see this winter...
  12. The signs were there for much of the fall for a potential rat winter.
  13. Nah no need for the post to be moved. It is just a post. I have no idea how or why some individuals would be upset about the post. It's no biggie....
  14. I did not "see" anything wrong with his post. The general consensus is that the west is in for a very good period of winter weather. .....not so much for the east. For months the pattern has favored storminess in the west. What happens there has an impact on the weather in the New England area.
  15. Eric Fisher @ericfisher · 39m Extreme negative PNA coming up (deep trough across the West Coast) will make for some wild cold/stormy weather there over the next couple of weeks We can still get snow in SNE with a -PNA, but it's less favorable than the opposite (especially when it comes to coastal storms)
  16. I am trying to get you to look on the bright side. Boston may not be good at reporting the weather BUT hey we can all celebrate that Boston only needed SIX more wins to win a WS title...
