TBH, its the active seasons that leave something on the field....I mean, what did 2019-2020, 2011-2012 and 2001-2002 leave on the field lol
Not sure how the numbers lie...85" is 85".
I remember 2012-13 as the year of modeled KUs only to continuously have them shredded through the meat grinder - until one didn't

As late as yesterday I was thinking I’d have gone Jan 6 and well into Feb with deep pack encased with ice which would be able to withstand the ever increasing Feb sun angle . Now if I’m lucky , I’ll have an hour of sleet that might collect above the windshield wipers and grass with frozen snow banks that slowly rot in the mild afternoons next week. With no pack, winter to me is worthless. Especially in a not desirable pattern moving forward

Usually goes the other way. FZRA is almost always overdone on the models.
just wondering for what a flash freeze would even look like

We don't typically see a transition from rain to fzra, do we

Dude .. it’s gonna be wiped except for patches and banks. It sucks . Winter ends for me when that happens
It usually happens in January

BOS will be nasty tomorrow IMHO....they go right below freezing at some point during the morning. So whether it is the morning commute or the PM school commute, it could be really nasty.
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. Even if the morning is okay down here, no guarantees on getting them home

Tomorrow afternoon is looking sort of gnarly. NAM nest is upper 20s by 18z for N CT with an additional 0.25" of liquid between 18z and 00z. Seems like a pretty nasty glaze/pingers.
A lot of the morning drive we may rot around 33F.
I'm actually wondering what the schools will do

Wow dude, you have a problem with me thinking everything @RUNNAWAYICEBERGsays is funny in a totally sexy way? If you want to police someone, start with @MaineJayhawk - he keeps putting his weenie on all my posts. Keep it in your pants guys! (unless you are runnaway of course)

You sure about that? And if so.. do you think it will end up that way?
Yes, I'm pretty sure. It says 19 minutes ago now, but if you subtract out the time stamp of my post you are quoting from the time stamp of this post, I think you can probably back into it being 12 minutes prior to my post that you quoted. I don't know Will to be someone who goes back and changes his posts very often, so I would say I have above average confidence that it will end up the same as it currently is, which is how it is below: "a lot of meso guidance shows this."

The ORH hills are blocking the cold from getting over and into NE CT while it drains down the CT Valley to the west

Back in the day there was a 1000 times better chance of running into Miss Universe while walking to school than for school being cancelled for what is expected on Friday....
And you didn't even wear seatbelts either! The good ol' days...

Might give us a bit of snow at the end as a consolation. The sharper that shortwave trends, the more moisture it will try and hang back. GFS kind of showed this better, NAM wasn't as enthusiastic, but that is a sharp s/w....maybe have to watch for tomorrow night.
15z RAP was super weenie with that

Lol that wasn't even unintentional. Just saying, mocking the blockage of backdoor fronts is a dangerous game to play when spring is around the corner
