  2. Why is everybody ordering kids shoelaces?
  3. Mine isn't quite that easy. As opposed to Chill, I am in a saddle with two roads above me. My property (3.5 acres) is pie shaped and HEAVILY wooded. I can push everything to the edges of the woods and then across what was to be another road on my left into a holler. I have cut two white oaks and 8 ash trees that were dead standing last two years for firewood, have 3 locust and probably another 3-4 ash to get down....and you can't tell where I cut except for the stumps. BTW, that is all that is dying up here, ash, locust and white oaks. Neighbors are same, I knew about the ash, but the white oaks and locust surprised me.
  4. Ditto here. I still mow them towards the edges of the yard and into the woods, but a good bit gets finely mulched into the yard. Still end up raking a couple times to rid the yard of the 10 trillion acorns from the oaks.
  5. I like the 72-85% stuff, above that...nope. I have become addicted lately to Reese's dark chocolate peanut butter cups, cold from the fridge......yummy!!!
  6. DCA: +1.6 22.9 NYC: +1.8 40.6 BOS: +2.1 59.7 ORD: +0.6 38.9 ATL: +1.6 45.9 (DTW) IAH: +1.3 98.4 (BUF) DEN: +1.8 67.6 PHX: +2.1 90.3 (BTV) SEA: +0.9 6.7
  7. 'They' may be more inclusive, but definitely have no idea what they are doing that far out, still agree with psu.
  8. That is some pretty thick ice
  9. I average 27 inches, they have me smack in the middle of 48-60...so they are saying double?? They should take psuhoff's advice. And I agree, if they are saying double, then double 'Shoe's and Canaan's and make a 200-300 line lol.
  10. Wait....you mean there ARE semi-normal people here?
  11. Wonderful day here, 40's, breezy, cloudy with a few sprinkles from time to time. Only way to make it better would be for it to be 10 degrees colder with flurries instead of the sprinkles.
  12. I won't complain to much, have grass seed just pushing up so a few warmish days may help it along.
  13. Posting from the ark? Just 0.50 here, a little wind and chilly. The 44.0 degree high is a new record 'cool max' for the date, beating 2005's 47.0 reading. That is the 2nd cool max of the month (22nd), first time that has happened in a good while.
  14. I need to find a class then, 2011 last time for me.
  15. Another freezing night here (30.3), only 46.5 degrees out there at 1:15 pm and the clouds have swung in. That should lock the high (and low) in for the day. Only chance of a bit warmer afternoon is that the winds have veered to SW at 2-3 mph.
  16. ^^^This^^^ Low was 27.9 degrees, second morning below freezing. High of 47.4 degrees broke the 'cool max' for the date, beating 1988's 49 degree reading.
  17. Had a 42 mph gust just after midnight here. Love looking at the cameras....'Shoe, Canaan, Wisp winners Snow up in Highland county on 511 camera too.
  18. I thought those were the little red and white triangular pills from the 70's.....
  19. Almost 25 degrees warmer than this time yesterday. Currently 56.4 degrees. That was a nice fall.
  20. 'Back in the day' Mr Daniel's black label seemed to cure about everything for me.
