  3. Flipped here about an hour ago, roads haven't caved yet, still not an inch. 32/31
  4. Hope things turn around quickly for you.

  6. Sun is starting to lighten the sky thru the clouds here. We be done after 4-5 hours of intermittent very light snow, never more than a coating on everything. Finally broke above freezing at 33.2/29.0.
  7. Nothing spectacular, but I have flurries and a few sleet pellets falling in last hour and currently 26.2/22.4. So definitely a bit further west than even the models showing.... I'm 15 miles off WV line.
  8. Although not a giant storm (10"), the 10/10/79 storm cemented my love of snow and weather in general due to the 'surprise' factor and damage caused. Been keeping records since that day.
  9. 36 with fog and rain here. That and the 47 high yesterday about did the snow in, a few scattered north facing spots have a bit, which will be gone later today.
  10. Just did my monthly numbers so I have it handy here. 13 mornings in the teens and another 4 in single digits, over half the month. 18.6 when averaged out over the month. 6 days never rose above the freezing mark and another 5 days just clipped it topping out at 33.
  11. My numbers for Jan 2022 Total precip was 4.36 inches vs a normal of 2.94 inches, a +1.42 inches above average. The wettest day was the 2nd with 1.46 inches falling. There were 11 days with measurable, 4 days with a 'T' and 16 dry days. Total snowfall for the month was 15.9 inches vs a normal of 5.8 inches, a +10.1 above average. The snowiest day was the 17th with 8.0 inches falling. There were 6 days with measurable snow, 4 days with a 'T' and 21 days with no snow. There was measurable snow on the ground for 18 days, an additional 7 days with a 'T' recorded and 6 days with no snow on ground. The averaged high temp was 38.8 degrees vs a normal of 42.0 degrees, a -3.2 degrees below normal. The warmest temp recorded was 66.0 degrees on the 2nd. The averaged low temp was 18.6 degrees vs a normal of 22.4 degrees, a -3.8 degrees below normal. The coldest temp recorded was 2.5 degrees on the 23rd. The overall averaged temp was 28.7 degrees vs a normal of 32.2 degrees, a -3.5 degrees below normal. The highest wind recorded for the month was 37 mph on the 18th. Several new records for the month. New rainfall records of 1.30 on the 17th and 1.46 on the 2nd. The 8.0 inches on snowfall on the 17th was a new record. On the 2nd, the high of 66.0 was a new record as well as the 49.1 degree low being a new 'warm minimum'. Overall a wet/snowy and cold month once we passed the 2nd day.

  13. Agree. 15.9 inches of snow and snow cover for 18 days, 24 if you want to count the "T's" where the ground was at least white at 7 am, and running about a -4 temp wise on the month. ZERO complaints here after the way the month started on the 1st and 2nd......
  14. Same here. Light snow for about 5 hours yesterday with hardly anything to show for it. Then it switched to sprinkles for about two hours before going back to snow after 6 pm and finally accumulating a bit (0.4, lol) but the roads and hard surfaces had a tough time even then with 'stickage'.
  15. Time to toss another log on the fire @jonjon
  16. That is a hefty margin to say the least....
  17. Would the camera be shaking as they ran too?
  18. Hermie's school of dentistry?
  19. *At work and attempts to open.... bells and whistles, sirens and lights going off....*
  20. Wasn't a war fought over that?
