Reached 99* at RDU and on my home PWS. Too damn hot for me

No rain here either but at least yo uhad some Thunder. I head about 3 rolls and that was it here. Two cells popped up, both within 3 miles of me, on 540 but they were heading towards creedmoor, go figure

We cant catch anything of late here in the Triangle unless you are in southern Wake county. Otherwise no dice for us. Its crazy how things just seem so to have dried up as it gets close to the Triangle from the West Northwest

All that looked good on radar but slowly dried up as it entered Orange Co and pts East. We got some clouds if that counts

First T storm watch of the month for mainly central to SE NC till 8pm tonite

Missed all the good stuff this morning. I woke up to TStorm warnings from Guilford East to Durham Counties around 6-630am. Not a drop here. The rich get richer though in NE NC and Eastern NC. My buddy has had storms every day now for a few days. Torrential rains this morning and flooding widespread. I see we are in the Tstorm watch till 8pm. I have a feeling we will miss out on this too. Hope Tuesday is the day we get some rain, cuz my lawn needs it

Another humid but not as hot today. Currently 83 with a 74 dewpoint Looks like no rain here thru midnight so July will finish up with 7" on the nose.

Seems to be pretty steady across the state today minus the mtns. We just had higher dews here in the Triangle than the Triad. Heat Indexes got up to 107* today

Yikes, hopefully it isnt anything serious. Im surprised his test came back negative too unless it was a false negative. How long has wife been dealing with it? Hope they both get better quickly

Ive been wearing my mask anyway , even after fully Vaccinated. I just didnt trust the others out there who were or werent vaccinated. It sucks we are going backwards again but if I have to wear my mask then Im good with it. My friends I mentioned before are on Day 15 for him. She is much better now. He has a helluva nasty cough still and his abs hurt from all the coughing. No fevers though. My other friend near Charleston, SC also fully vaccinated picked up the virus with a stuffy nose then got tested 3 days later and it was positive. She had a fever and a cough yesterday. Today she said the fever broke and the coughing is just occasional now. Will see how she feels the next few days.

Well we decided tonite to cancel our trip to NYC in early Sept.for my 50th bday. I have to figure out how to resell my tix on stub hub for the Mets game. Cancelled our stay at the TWA Hotel at JFK. Will have credit towards future flights on DL as well. I just didnt feel comfortable going with this Delta variant even though my wife and I are fully vaccinated. Hope things are better by mid october for our trip to Hawaii.

Glad Yotoman for his vaccine. I havent had Covid and hope not too get it but I did get the Pfizer vaccine and the only side effect I had was about 8 hours later I was just really tired. Felt fine by noon the next day. But this delta variant has me on edge

Im supposed to go to N Y for my Bday weekend next month. Im thinking not such a good idea, flying up and back and then in the population as the two variants are going to be everywhere. We came back from the OBX and no masks there either minus a few people. I heard about the Lambda variant now too. We are so screwed IMO. I beleive in the vaccines but it seems that the virus can outdo the virus nowadays. Def some interesting times ahead. May have to look fior a job where I can work from home
