I think that temperature is pretty close to spot on at RDU. Im two miles wnw of there and my PWS got to 98. This heat is pretty intense and I know all about the sensor issue at RDU. We had the same issue at DCA too.

Came 1* shy of tying for the record at RDU Got to 95* today.

95* for a high here after a low of 65 today. Im ready for fall

With the way things have gone the last 4 months in this area, when you wake up Tues morning it will all change to sun and dry conditions

We hit 90* today after a low of 52*. DP did hit 60 around 1245pm today.

Today was just gorgeous, a perfect summer day. Wish it would stay like this all summer long. Im dreading this weekend and next week already, I hate the heat and humidity. This is the worst time of year in central NC. we bake and sweat and the storms seem to miss rdu area

Its par for the course hear near RDU. Everything like to miss this small area for some reason. I'm glad we got the rain, although .52 for the event but areas about 15 mins NW got over an inch. Sitting a paltry .55 MTD

Nice little line of storms in north Orange and Guilford counties tonight. Saw the lightning when i left work tonight at RDU.

Picked up a trace this morning here, some parts of the area wet roads briefly near the airport and other roads were just dry.

Todays temps were nice and with that breeze, it felt comfy to me Finished up with 1.19" Took a video of the windswept rains today at work and posted it on my twitter and TWC asked to use it. I said sure why the hell not.
