  1. If we can steal this one, my attitude toward this winter will change markedly. Lol
  2. I could see it coming because the soithern storm slowed down and allowed the northern stream more time to come south and inject cold air.
  3. Euro looks to be better than 0z. Know shortly
  4. 12z Icon shifts north a bit and hits central and northern PA more this run. Still some snow in the south though.
  5. Bliz, you're losing your touch! Lol 6z Icon. Decent snow ongoing at end of run too!
  6. By the way, don't believe that the entire Euro suite is showing below normal snow in the Mid Atlantic. 0z 1/22 weeklies,,in fact, show AN snows in VA & MD for the 3 weeks starting 2/6. All of PA, save a small area, is normal'ish for 3 weeks per that weekly run.
  7. Welp, 6z Eps backing up my thoughts of the south progression of snowfall. Plenty of time to shift a bit further south too.
  8. As I posted yesterday, this winter has wanted to bullseye DC/BWI, so I'll be surprised if there isn't a continued shift south. Though I do think this forum will also benefit as well. Let's see if the atmosphere does have a memory.
  9. Don't look now, but 18z Gefs showing 850 temps near normal at the end of the run.
  10. Anybody (as in @GaWx) notice a warming on the SE Asian side of the Pole at the end of the Gefs and Geps runs? What, if anything, do you make of it?
  11. Eps weeklies. Week starting 2/12 looks pretty darn good and it has been getting better for days. 2 weeks after that look great as well, but not quite the extent as this week.
  12. I got it. It just struck me as I saw the video that I hadn't watched a college football game in forever. I'm old. Gimme a break! Lol
  13. I haven't watched a college football game in over 30 years at least.
  14. I am very surprised how well my pack is holding up. Still no grass in the back yard and only some thin spots up front. But next 24 hours will brutalize it.
  15. In light of the way Fridays event was pushed south starting 2 days before game time, I'll continue to hold out weenie hopes and dreams I/majority of forum sees some accumulating snow.
  16. A lingering memory of Dt's typing skills when he posted on Eastern.
  17. The Canadian comes close to a miracle with the Sunday/Monday storm. It does get some snow into the state but no big deal. Gfs and Icon are carp with it.
  18. Welp, I decided not to get a new heating system because I took care of insulating the attic and ducts as well as sealing air leakage. I'm sticking with oil, like it or not, until my a/c goes up and I'll get a heat pump at that point if still living. In the meantime, the pending warmth will result in a decent savings on $ after all the insulation and sealing. That's what I'm telling myself at least.
  19. I was surprised to see that this morning with the Euro after all ensemble members on the 18z had the slp to our south similar to runs prior to 12z. But, that's what models do.
  20. If you roll this link forward, Cfs weeklies on board too. https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/?model=cfs-avg&region=us&pkg=z500aMean&runtime=2024012212&fh=168
  21. The good news, the only good news in fact, is that both the Gefs and Geps weakened the ridge in Canada and were in the process of placing a trough across the south similar to weeklies.
