  1. Funny thing is, this winters forecast is similar to this year's hurricane forecast with everything looking slam dunk. Something to keep in mind for anyone doing this winters forecast.
  2. Honestly, this year's hurricane forecasts were forefront in my mind when I made that post, but I believe it's true for other forecasts as well. There are just too many smaller scale features that can really screw things up.
  3. Tried to tell you a month ago there was a lot of evidence pointing against a slam-dunk Niña. Yet, it can still change. Early call accurate forecasts on any weather phenomina rely solely on luck imho.
  4. Idk, when you look at previous seasons that started this high, they all went on to finish AN.
  5. Monthly on the 5th. Here's a link to all free monthly products. https://charts.ecmwf.int/?facets={"Product type"%3A[]%2C"Parameters"%3A[]%2C"Range"%3A["Long (Months)"]%2C"Type"%3A[]}
  6. Probably just depends on Tropical activity. No tropics = drier month.
  7. The fact is, all large cities have problems if for no other reason more people=more problems.
  8. Found this Eps weeklies September precip forecast in the MA forum. Suggests to me that most tropical activity stays offshore.
  9. Sam's club pretzels are only a buck, and they cook them fresh all day too. I can't remember Wawa'a price, but they're usually more convenient than Sam's, except here. We have a Sam's club in Hanover but no Wawa. When I go back to my old digs near BWI, the 7-11 on Aviation Blvd. (road that borders the east side of BWI) has started selling pretzels similar to Wawa's, so I usually make a point to pickup one there.
  10. They have the best soft pretzels of all the convenience stores. Sam's Club has the best of all, hands down, imho.
  11. Lower again this week. Now, upper 40's! Tuesday Sunny, with a high near 71. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Tuesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 49. North wind 5 to 9 mph. Wednesday Sunny, with a high near 73. Northwest wind 5 to 9 mph. Wednesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 51.
  12. Huge fail by all modeling thru this evening with rainfall forecasts imby as recently as 12 hours ago, except for the 3K Nam which has been stingy since last night.
  13. On the north sidd of Main Street through Waynesboro, about a mile or less west of the Lowe's. It's in the old Golden Coral location.
  14. Not a drop of consequence in Hanover today. I put down weed and feed and Savin for those stupid grubs that love my yard, whether in MD or PA. I at least need a 1/4" to get that in because I'll be damned if I'm going to water. P.s. @Bubbler86 Went to the Waynesboro Family Diner today. Not bad at all.
  15. That's what fell here overnight. Looks like things are starting to percolate to our west/sw now.
  16. Funnest time of that winter on the east coast was when it ended.
  17. Nws knocks it down a notch or two with today's updated forecast. Tuesday Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. Tuesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 53. Wednesday Sunny, with a high near 75. Wednesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 53.
  18. Next week starts off sweet in the hamlet of Hanover. Tuesday Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. Tuesday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 55. Wednesday Sunny, with a high near 76. Wednesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 55.
  19. Perfect example of why there are no slam dunks in weather, especially seasonal outlooks.
  20. Do you know of anyone (as in model suites) doing Roni predictions like Oni?
