  1. 26F here this morning, -13F below normal. Hopefully it warms up soon. Be nice to see leaf out after 6+ months of bare trees.
  2. Still waiting to lose power, something you told me would happen about a dozen times in the past.
  3. The power situation was frustrating. Very little tree damage, but no crews to fix anything. I went to the CL&P office in Tolland to find out about repairs. Nobody in the office. Thank goodness my dad had power. The biggest problem was running out of water. We had two huge Saint Bernard's in the house.
  4. He generalizes and thinks Tolland is how the rest of Connecticut has to be.
  5. Man, you always have to be right. Forgot you lived in Coventry. Good luck surviving tomorrow night's disaster.
  6. Power was on down the street from me and in most of town. And it's wrong for Enfield. That map shows Coventry at 61-80% out, or it looks that way, it's very blurry.
  7. Good for you, my neighborhood was mostly bare. Not much tree damage. 54% of town had power. Here in Enfield, my dad didn't lose power.
  8. It's 50% bare, 40% in seed and 10% in flower. It's been unseasonably cold here. 27F over the weekend, and 28F last night. Should be 40F at night. Supposed to be 29F tonight. Of course this is going to slow down leafout.
  9. Same with my dumbass Bradford Pear.
  10. I'm talking about here in Enfield. I lived in Coventry in 2011. Very little tree damage there, as the higher elevations were mostly bare except for the Oaks.
  11. We had 3" of snow falling on fully leafed out trees here in October of 2015, 10" of slop in 2011 and didn't lose power here.
  12. They had alot more snow than we will have out of this. You think every weather event will cause some sort of disaster.
  13. It's mostly bare here. The cold nights have slowed things down.
  14. I lived on Long Island at that time.
  15. I wasn't around for that snowfall. I just remember it snowing about 3" at KBL and raining at Snowshed.
  16. The 2007 snowfall in Maine ended on April 17th. If it snows on the 18th, it would be the latest snowfall I've seen in recent memory. I did see it snow at Killington in early May in the early 1990's. I don't remember the exact date/year.
  17. Precipitation is moving in so slowly that it's still clear skies here and cooling off nicely. Currently 35/25 Radar for this looks kind of meh to the West around here.
  18. Normal here is 61F, but I'm South of you and in a valley. Tomorrow and Friday are forecast to be in the upper 40's.
  19. I need 0.5" to break 30" YTD, otherwise I'm not interested.
  20. No install needed for April, that's for sure. Hopefully not until Mid-May.
  21. NWS has a chance of snow overnight on Wednesday. It's supposed to be 30F here on Thursday morning, that's -9F below normal. Normal split here is 61/39. WU doesn't have 60F forecast for a high in the next 10 days here. It hasn't reached 70F yet this month, looking out to the long range, it's not forecast to. At least it's not rediculously cold like out West. If I can't ski, I have no need for that.
