The power situation was frustrating. Very little tree damage, but no crews to fix anything. I went to the CL&P office in Tolland to find out about repairs. Nobody in the office. Thank goodness my dad had power. The biggest problem was running out of water. We had two huge Saint Bernard's in the house.
Power was on down the street from me and in most of town. And it's wrong for Enfield. That map shows Coventry at 61-80% out, or it looks that way, it's very blurry.
It's 50% bare, 40% in seed and 10% in flower. It's been unseasonably cold here. 27F over the weekend, and 28F last night. Should be 40F at night. Supposed to be 29F tonight. Of course this is going to slow down leafout.
I'm talking about here in Enfield. I lived in Coventry in 2011. Very little tree damage there, as the higher elevations were mostly bare except for the Oaks.
The 2007 snowfall in Maine ended on April 17th. If it snows on the 18th, it would be the latest snowfall I've seen in recent memory. I did see it snow at Killington in early May in the early 1990's. I don't remember the exact date/year.
Precipitation is moving in so slowly that it's still clear skies here and cooling off nicely. Currently 35/25 Radar for this looks kind of meh to the West around here.
