No it wasn’t. We had a solid event late month which gave us snow cover for the late in the holiday period.

Similar to an event around the same date in 2012. 6 hour lead time runs gave us nothing but bos got around an inch. I was at the game-Verlander vs Beckett. Game called after 5. I remember talking to Steve thinking we’d have an ok winter with the coastals starting in summer. It was a very good snow winter.

Either way growing consensus of another siege after mid to late week which like the prior ones this summer should have pretty good longevity. Certainly multiple days possibly AOA 90 for many.

It's not a winter noreaster. Coastal storms happen amid many summer months particularly as we move through August.

My childhood featured some really hot starts to September as I recall.

I think today will close the books at 98 at BOS. Past 6 days we have 4 98s, one 97 and a measly 95.

98 at Logan. 4 days straight AOA 95 with 2 AOA 98 and a 97 with the “coolest” 95.

Our daughter and niece hiked Cannon last Sunday. Our daughter wanted an early start but our niece slept in where they were crashing at daughter’s friend’s place. They started up from where they parked at 2pm, hit the summit late and barely made it back to the car before dark. They then drove back to our place arriving around 1AM. Our daughter was worried but niece has no concept being a native of Chicago.

With a solid month or more to go. Last summer was front loaded, this one appears back loaded. The frequency of 100 degree days is crazy vs a few decades ago.

Well the first one was 7 days straight and who knows how long this one will be? The long duration to me is the eye opener.
