  1. Agree. April true to form. Hopefully May does better but honestly I can almost feel the change even now. Foliage coming out and it almost appears we’re off to the races. Took a 6 mile walk last night and had to shed my light jacket over sweater.
  2. I told you guys months ago, close the shades until Father’s Day for legit summer wx. With that said, it isn’t bad out. We’ve had far worse on these dates.
  3. The green grass was around as a goal for the greatest generation. Don’t pin everything on the boomers. For the record the one part of my house I don’t care about is my lawn. It’s meant for neighborhood kids to play on as long as they don’t ring our bell too early.
  4. Decent day today. Lots of growth yesterday and overnight.
  5. Actually, driving stoned is pretty dangerous. But you knew that....
  6. Big trees seem a tad behind schedule. Still bare
  7. Been in Chicago all week. Boston beat it with nicer wx. Blustery and cold here and driving through who knows what tomorrow and Tuesday en route home.
  8. Happy news! Your family had a rough year!
  9. I’m so sorry John. Thoughts are with you. Condolences for your loss and hopefully Covid is a minor inconvenience for you
  10. Our CR-v had $3k damage. Lots of thunder now. Probably one of the better severe days of the season today.
  11. Just had an impressive hailer move through. Kind of spooked me given the car damage from 8/4/15.
  12. I haven’t seen prices drop in this town (Brookline) since I moved here in 1992. During the previous bubbles they’d flatline but never drop. If they do, so be it but it would be the sign of something worse than we’ve seen since I moved back here from LA in 1991. I am getting inclined to cash out and move out towards GC though.
  13. I guess it depends. We bought this house for nearly 100k over asking 7 years ago. We’ve picked up 600k equity since. And we were able to because we sold our other home for an absurd price over asking. This town has been ridiculously high for decades. There isn’t land to build on. It’s surprising given how much remote work there is but tons of health workers here close to the big medical centers and many with high enough income to afford it. This is a national crisis actually. Home ownership has been a cornerstone and I wonder whether or not someone with no help from parents and modest income can do it in MA. Young families on my street are moving into $2m homes. How is that possible if you’re not from a wealthy family?
  14. Pope melted. RE is not absurdly high outside of Boston area especially NNE.
  15. I think it’s a dry summer relatively which should enable some spectacular heat vs normal expectations. I’m going with 37 AOA 90 for BOS and 3 AOA 100.
  16. I’m calling for the hottest summer on record for us. Hopefully we won’t be rationing electricity..
  17. Long range eps says enjoy the warmth next week-it will be short lived.
  18. Week of 4/12 onward definitely looks nice. Hopefully that holds. We’ll be in Chicago that week arriving late Monday the 11th. If a rogue bd shows up hopefully Chicagoland can avoid it.
  19. Has dropped minimally at Costco. 3.95/gallon at today’s fill up which I do about 1-2/month.
  20. Warm but overcast. I’ll take it over the Monday and Tuesday crap we had this week.
  21. An all timer for sure! One of my things is to go to different concerts of these old school guys. Heading to Lake Tahoe to see Jackson Browne in September. Seger is all done touring it seems.
  22. We're 2 days away so here's the link to the April thread.
