  1. We have moles on this bb and I mean that in a literal sense.
  2. Like clockwork-told you guys. Second half of July here we go!
  3. He’s been pretty left for decades. Interesting tidbit-I had a student about 45-50 years ago who had a textbook at Sunny Hills HS in Fullerton, CA. Anyway in those days your textbooks would come and previous students who used it had their names in it. She actually had one from Jackson Browne! Light rain and sun in Coolidge Corner now.
  4. Agree! For Everyman was literally that! We were all coming of age at the same time-great stuff! Led to the pretender which was straight up cynical and dark. Looking forward to the concert!
  5. Bonnie Raitt was all over WBCN in those days. Late for the sky was an amazing album! Fountain of sorrow…”you could be laughing at me/you got the right-but you go on smiling so clear and so bright“
  6. When I went in the 70s Orleans opened for him.
  7. Good! Nothing will top what I’ve already seen. And besides-it’s not snow.
  8. I was waiting for this question…lol. Jackson Browne. We listened to a 90 minute show from a few years ago and his voice was still really good! I last saw him live in Springfield in the mid 70s.
  9. The good news is the course ends mid August. We’re heading to California for 2-3 weeks in September. We bought a concert ticket on a whim back last December. Venue is Lake Tahoe on 9/10. Then to Sacramento to visit a dear friend-then to Bay Area to see son, daughter in law, and grandkids (who were here right after I was cleared from quarantine). Then 2 days driving the coast to LA and then to my other son, daughter in law, and grandson.
  10. I guess a quick scan of MOS doesn’t cut it…lol. Tomorrow is actually coc. Today is muggy. Lost my summer this year….took on an enormous teaching assignment pinch hit for someone sick. Complicated intense stuff but sometimes you have to pay it forward and do the right thing.
  11. Today is supposed to be the “cool” day. Feels quite summery TBH
  12. A lot of winter talk. Interestingly over the past month I’ve had numerous vivid snow dreams. Not sure what it means as I have no conscious thought about it but my subconscious is reminding me who I am......old man winter off season....lol.
  13. Prepare for heat and dews. WAR is coming 2nd half of July.
  14. Do you bow your head and say...”lord.....please bring enough severe weather to cause hardship to your flock”?
  15. Warm today in Worcester. Mid 80s near the DCU it seemed. Low dews for sure though. Coc in summer is 85/55.
  16. Sad day yesterday. My wife grew up in Highland Park, IL and her mom and aunt were at the parade and in the line of fire. By luck and who knows what they escaped unscathed. The familiar downtown where I’ve been countless times is a scene of carnage. And that was one of 2 mass shootings in Chicagoland yesterday. Our nation is broken and the potus babbles about how we’re together. I don’t know any answers…
  17. Nice hot day today. Gotta pick up my paxlovid so I’m thinking of walking the mile to cvs and double masking inside.
  18. Fail! At least for 7/1 it is….
  19. Interestingly enough, I took a home test after confirmation of covid via pcr-the gold standard-and as of yesterday it was negative. When the home tests are + you have plenty of virus! I was a little tired yesterday but feel better and stronger today. Kind of holding my breath till Monday and if ok at least I’m out of isolation although I’ll need to mask another 5 days. Hot today-feels like summer! After all it’s 7/1!
  20. June is over, my weekly (required for where I’m working this summer) PCR test came back positive. Minimal symptoms so far and hopefully that stays so I can get out of covid jail after Monday. Bad timing and for the life of me I don’t know where I got it.... Beautiful day for sitting in the yard today. That I can do!
  21. Feels like dews coming in now-got a good sweat going on my walk tonight.
  22. Lawns are for playing ball on, rolling on (dogs), occasionally mowing, and providing soft surface for lying on when you’re not in the hammock. Nothing more.
