  1. 6/1 looks on the wet side. It seems like 6/1-10 appears aob with some forays into dews at times but honestly the way it’s setting up 6/15 on may be well above. So summer haters should try to enjoy the next 2 weeks.
  2. The first week in June is already uncertain.
  3. Time to start thinking about June-pattern and forecast thread started here. June 1 is less than a week away.
  4. Some indication of a chilly mid month period coming. First week should be warm.
  5. The good effect is the lawn doesn’t grow as quickly
  6. I just looked at the 12z euro. 576+ thickness for the vast majority of New England. Infernal!
  7. It’s hard for everyone these days.....even wx models.
  8. Who in their right mind would have expectations of extended heat the first 2 weeks of June?
  9. Anyone who has lived through an inflation cycle before knows that the prices won’t ever drop-they’ll just stop rising. Nixon tried wage and price controls which didn’t really make a difference-honestly I’m not sure the government has as much control as we think.
  10. 91/75. Oppressive. Hot or cold I typically avoid high sun so my outdoor daily exercise is when the sun is low right before sunset or at night.
  11. 9 miles from Logan and 25 degrees warmer. One of the reasons I’m fascinated by the weather. 90/76 here
  12. Wow-I’m 85/75 while Logan not all that far away is in the low 60s and fogged in. GWDLT
  13. Up to 82/73 here. Definitely feeling like high summer.
  14. Yeah “chilly Sunday “ was 40 degrees cooler. Felt really cold after days of heat!
  15. Burning off with thermo rocketing. Won’t make 90 but we’ll probably be in the 80s. I’ve taken on a work project in Worcester now through mid August. I am teaching a course that meets Wednesday and Friday PMs. Driving home yesterday had 80 in Worcester when I left, maintained upper 70s to 128, 60s by the time I got home.
  16. Oh it’s coming and coming like you’ve never seen. Climate chickens coming home to roost. How often do we get this heat in May? 69/54 is what it’s supposed to be!
  17. The 4th of July weekend 1966 was legendary. My friends and I went to the jersey shore and we basically fried. Sand was not possible to walk on for more than a moment. Everyone was standing on everyone else’s blanket. But hot Saturday 1975 (8/2/75) takes the cake. 103 at Logan, 100 at ACK! High dews and complete torpor.
  18. I kind of remember big heat circa maybe 1962-5/30 hit something like 99 at Central Park. May have been 5/31 but I think it was 5/30.
  19. It always starts with coolness a few days out when it occurs in May.
