Getting back to the euro vis a vis January 2015. I remember guidance kind of hinted at a DC storm about 5-6 days out and scooter through his famous tantrum. I was on a work trip in Pittsburgh and was enjoying the 1” they had on the ground thinking it was nice to see snow again. This was a Friday and I returned home that night with a progged slop storm coming Saturday. I wake up Saturday and checked the overnight euro and see the hook and a snow pummeling coming in 60 hours-with no other guidance on board. The slop system over performed and 2 days later we were off to the races. How long must we pay for that?

I actually went on a 3 hour walk today and despite the brutal conditions enjoyed it. The key is really good warm gloves. I also wear earmuffs under my ski hat to stay warmer. Can’t beat it so I try to relish it.

Yeah the only way it happens is if there is continuous dig to neutrality and ultimately negativity. I was mildly interested in the attempt to “stand up” the trough.

Going back to 1999-00 the NAVGEM precursor NOGAPS alone signaled the first flakes for BOS amazingly 1/12/00 with a nice 4-7 event. They nailed it! Keep hope alive!

Unless you can pile something up by 1/20, futility is quite doable for YBY. Harder at BOS given a dinkleshit system passing well SE could give a few inches sometimes.
