True. But there tends to be snow otg most of the winter with all the systems coming through that gives us sprinkles and 45 here. Also, you don’t have to go that far from Burlington to get a lot more snow and way better retention. I can buy the place next to powderfreak.....lol.

This weekend is the high water mark for the warmth. Many sne locations will be +10-15 for the first half of January. We’ll see how much we can lop off of that in the second half...particularly post 1/20. Kudos to Kevin.

Meanwhile-a harrowing drive up to BTV last night in occasional whiteout conditions that didn’t let up until we were approaching Montpelier. Wintry up here for sure. Happy birthday freak!

It almost seems paradoxical but good snow in SNE helps ski areas in NNE. Serious skiers go no matter what but casual skiers which represent most I suspect are more likely to go with snow at their house. Totally different mindset vs California. LA never gets snow nor does San Francisco. But good skiing can be found a 90 minute care drive from those cities and no one obviously waits for snow in their yards..lol.

MJO forecasts suggests that the weeklies won’t make anyone happy today. While guidance is better on the ensemble products one has to wonder what kind of staying power any change to cold is later this month or February.
