    Mongolia has kept it up and still is. We were predicted to get frigid once before and we got quite cold instead so let’s see if this batch hits us right on. It looks like rollover cold which puts Dakotas at -30 for lows and is modified by about 30 when it gets here but that would still be extremely cold here, highs 15-20 and lows 0 to 5

    DCA is on the edge of a river with the river to the east north and south and an urbanized area to the west. Are you switching now off the river excuse while omitting the much larger bay, and pretending DCA is surrounded by an urbanized area and Annapolis is in the sticks? You are about the lone soldier remaining banging the drum for all good at DcA

    DCA had done well during the wind cold and but its inadequacies are back today running 3-5 higher than surrounds i watched Annapolis closely during all this. It was consistently 2-3 degrees lower than DCA. Many excuse DCA over the River. Annapolis has a 5X larger and 3-5X deeper Bay. If anything Annapolis should be a degree or two milder.

    It looks cold thru at least first week of Feb. I Said that10 days ago and it’s still solid

    Reason I ask about a Monday night clipper is Tuesday looks 10 degrees colder for a high and in this pattern that’s usually a clipper that ushers it in.

    Moderate to heavy and all snow with no mix like 20 mins ago. Going to be 0.5” in a bit and the rate right now is close to 1”ph

    Yes me too and with me the heavier rate was mixed and the light to moderate all snow

    The heavier rate is mixier here. The light to moderate all snow but moderate became mixey which is a shame because it was really coming down. Now back to light snow

    That dark strip over me hadn’t moved in 15 mins. Moderate snow. The band to the south has caught up as it moved north When bands collide

    Right along north part of beltway had a darker green band and that was 0.5”ph stuff and another approaches. I am rewhitened

    Onset of light snow at 10:28pm. It’s light and almost steady with a few nice flakes. 32F

    All will start to pick up on what is currently happening and looks to continue

    So far as precip moves northeast the radar is not showing decrease but rather increase in the stronger returns
