  1. 6pm ob light-very light snow, 0.2”ph, 0.5” accumulation, 29.5F
  2. Looking at the dewpoints and temp convergences it looks like 27ish when we are 90%+ so not sweating any “warmth” issues
  3. First flakes at 3:08pm Forecasted on Tuesday onset at 3pm with a 35/15. It was 34/17 so I guess I passed.
  4. 12 midnight obs Milky pre snow cloudiness increasing. 28F. Reporting for duty.
  5. Not one flake here but overcast and 32 and not windy so fun getting tree. Looks like some stations had heavy snow and 30mph gusts so must have been great.
  6. 4.7” here in 4 hours overnight with that feeder band. Some sections of BW Pkwy had 6. Luckily my yard drains downhill and away. Another downpour as I post dying tropical feeder bands in the overnight with rolling thunder and intense rain is spooky
  7. Florence giving us in DC some serious t&l and downpours. What I had for 20 minutes you had for 24+ hours. Unimaginable.
  8. March1993 needs to be in top 5 as its effects here and from Florida to Maine were staggering
  9. Jan 82 is underrated. 85 gets more pub but that is because of inauguration. 77 was super long but 82 and 94 are stand alones especially with what the afternoon temps were doing
  10. We were better off when we were together. From Maine to the carolinas there are astute participants who had a lot to offer for dc or Philadelphia
  11. 25" round 1, then 3" changed to crap but changed back to a raging wind blown fury with another 7"
  12. Man. I thing you are/were a young guy so this event has to be a life re-shaper for you?
  13. 20" from that one and never, ever, never, never, never thought I was still yet to get almost twice that.
  14. I think the 3 hour period on the 6th was the greatest combo of heavy snow and strong winds that I can remember.
  15. Come into Manchester kinda in the center of town having approached from the west. Road was decent, windy, I could stop a lot. Few places the drifts on side of road were like sculptured. First time I stopped I thought. Wait this isn't 3' of snow, I just left that and know what it looks like. So I measured and was careful as I could be to not measure drifts and I got a couple of 61-62" stuff but mostly 50-55".
  16. Biggest snow event ever with 25" and not to far north 35". I drove some roads between Weisminister and Manchester where the undrifted snow was 5' deep.
  17. How do you personally hang in there? There is so much widespread complete destruction that getting back to "way it used to be" seems really difficult?
