  1. Temperatures in our area certainly are oppressive but not really extreme heat such as upper 90s. We will see what the next few days bring.
  2. Are you talking Brookhaven Long Island? Brookhaven Labs weather station has recorded 85, 87, 89 the past 3 days.
  3. 90 here, heat index 103. The only thing this weather is good for is to keep the pool temperature up.
  4. Yes, actually it looks like after Thursday we go back to more seasonable temperatures.
  5. Accu weather and the NWS don't seem to agree with the GFS and have highs on Monday in the upper 70s not upper 80s, we shall see.
  6. Hit 91 here but dropped back to the 80s during most of the afternoon.
  7. Some clouds have moved in here and the temperature dropped from 91 to 86.
  8. Central Park and Newark both represent the urban landscape. Newark in the industrial area and Central Park in a tree lined setting. So pick your poison. Meanwhile Long Island and eastern N.J. seem to be strange bedfellows today as far as temperatures go. Approaching or at 90 in many Long Island locations.

  14. 64 degrees this morning with lower humidity, feels great.

  16. Ended up with .30 inch of rain here. Now sunny and muggy temperature 80 degrees.
  17. Quick .26 here, temperature down to 69 degrees.
  18. 6.9 record surge in Cedar Key but far below the prediction of 9-12 ft.
  19. Good thing Idalia is hitting a low population area.
  20. After a mild day today looks like pleasantly cool weather for 3 or 4 days. Then back to summer. August at Central Park should end up about an even 75 degrees.
  21. Thursday and Friday look real nice with highs in the mid 70s and lows around 60 in the city and 40s and 50s in the burbs.
