  1. 77 beautiful degrees here. Enjoy, before it all changes.
  2. 71 here after a high of 73. Sun in and out all day.
  3. 72 here with the sun in and out.
  4. So this scenario could be a strong storm next weekend and then a return to cold weather.
  5. 75 my high. Still some potential for next weekend storm
  6. Potential east coast storm in about a week. The problem is it is a week away, so much can change.
  7. After a high of 68 degrees, already down to 52.
  8. After a very comfortable high of 71 here, now down to 49 degrees.
  9. Looks like the potential for some strong winds and rough waters next week along much of the east coast, especially from the Jersey shore and south. Low to the south and strong high to the north will create strong pressure gradient.
  10. Already dropping below 40 in Muttontown, down to 43 here.
  11. Yea that sky was something to see
  12. If it stays clear tonight, I wouldn't be surprised for some frost in parts of Long Island.
  13. Antarctica has about 90% of the worlds ice volume and about 70% of the worlds fresh water. At least the Antarctica is not melting as fast as the Alps. This report was on ABC news tonight and it was a little misleading.
  14. Brookhaven National Labs on Long Island has had 1 year at or below normal the past 25 years. The previous 25 years had 13.
  15. It is now partly cloudy here and beautiful out, temperature 71 degrees.
  16. Was it 77 or 78. Farmingdale airport on Wunderground says yesterday high was 77. Not that it really makes much difference.
  17. 75 here today and mostly sunny.
  18. Possible tropical depression coming close to the area. Looks like it may head to Cape Cod.
  19. My temperature was 53 at 11pm last night, then the wind died down and the temperature dropped fast. 37 this morning.
  20. After a cold night on Tuesday, the last 2 nights here have been more mild than I thought it would be. Last night only 44 and tonight it is only down to 53. I think the wsw wind brought enough ocean air to keep things mild.
  21. To be fair that record low at Tallahassee was in 1899. I don't think JFK goes back nearly that far but I'm not sure.
  22. We get our coldest weather when the cold air out of Canada comes right down the Hudson Valley or east across the eastern Great Lakes. This cold air mass went south to the Gulf of Mexico. We got the fringe affect. It is unusual for a place like Tallahassee to be colder than our area but it happens, though rarely. Dulles is about 25 miles west of D.C. and it is not unusual for them to be colder than us, especially coastal areas.
