Looks like Central Park will end up at 79 for July average. Today being 85-66. This actually gives the Park a July temperature of 79.048, so I assume they round it off to 79.

Another thing with rankings (and I don't know how it plays out with these rankings) if a month has, for example, the fifth highest temperature, it could still be out of the top ten warmest months if, for example, 6 months were tied for a higher number turning the 5th highest temperature into the 11 highest month. Having said that, there is no doubt in my mind we see far more above normal months rather than below normal months.

I would say summer in my area has not been bad. Yes July has been warm but June was comfortable. August will tell the tale.

Yes not really a pleasant place to live, at least for me. It is a desert and the longevity of the heat and lack of rain just not for me.

I quess in a place like Phoenix the heat index is actually lower than the air temperature.

Yes I could see that from my house, looked very dark toward the south shore. Only .17 here.

Temperature here rose in the past hour to hit 90.1 making it an official heat wave with temperatures of 91, 91 and 90.

Some places in the Catskills should have highs in the 60s and low in the 40s next week. Fall like. Here more like 80 low 60s. Should feel good.

Looks like temps are being lowered some more for tomorrow in some areas and Saturday for most areas. May not get that official heat wave after all, at least here. Just barely 90 today and may not hit 90 on Saturday.

89.9 my high, calling it 90. Number 6 on the year. Should have first official heat wave come Saturday.
