    (Vegas weather update) The wildfire smoke from Cali has infiltrated Vegas this morning. Can smell it. Maybe not as dense as the worst times we had it last year, but the scent is legit. Looks like it'll blow over by later today. In other news (no, I would not post Vegas weather in storm mode), it actually lightly rained here the other day from a rogue cell overhead. Been some afternoon storms around town last weekend, but they typically stayed out of the valley.

    The Vegas rain shadow is like Stephen’s city except in all directions. Can see some thunderheads to nearby but nada. Pretty tolerable heat so far with the breeze.

    Sunny, but hazy here in the Vegas valley…currently 99/33 lol. Gonna be spicy the next few days. Wildfire smoke is from Oregon/Northern Cal, I believe. Hopefully that’s not a prolonged thing. The hot, crispy summer across the US continues.

    Some violent lightning strikes close by. You definitely do not want to be out in this one.

    Pretty sure I got bullseyed here by a lightning core on the southern end of that main batch. Was on the phone so couldn’t take vid, but it was straight out of the cg handbook.

    One of the more prolific lightning displays I’ve seen here. Heck of a storm.

    Not sure what temp Frederick reached, but I thought it was tolerable. Certainly hot/humid, but it’s been a little worse at times this summer.

    Snoozer of a tropical season so far…again. We’re really just in a generally long term boring weather pattern at this point and droughts are a byproduct.

    Ok, so it's a little chippy outside today. I do love autumn...but summer is kinda awesome. Wish we had more storms, though.

    Love to see it...I'm heading out west next week for a couple weeks and have a limited desire for chilly weather right now. As I get older, I look forward to colder weather and shorter days, less and less... unless it's snowing.

    Loving the return of humidity and storm chances. Today was definitely my kinda day. Not to say I didn’t enjoy that 2-3 day stretch of autumn.

    Yea, that is true. Definitely not ideal pool (swimming) weather today, though I did confirm just now that it is indeed good biking weather.

    Unpopular opinion…could be 5 degrees warmer. Much nicer in the sun…little on the cool side in the shade with the breeze. Wfh today, so just sampled this on my balcony lol. It is biking weather tho…might have to partake later.

    Not a fan of cool/breezy, but this weather is a nice break…I’ll give it that. Looking forward to the upcoming stretch. Jeepers will certainly enjoy it.

    I don't mind clouds when it's mild/warm...I don't approve of the cloudy/windy/cold/short days, though...that gets tedious...unless it's snowing.
