  1. Beautiful weather so far today.
  2. Luckin' out so far. Another round incoming. Regional-wide rains are kinda uncommon this time of year...we just haven't even had enough hit/miss opps.
  3. Productive downpour moving through. Obviously, it won't amount to much since it's quick moving, but might be a 0.25-0.5" type.
  4. That next vort dropping in from the Midwest by Saturday looks intriguing (albeit weakening on approach)...prime trajectory with a stagnant airmass leading into it.
  5. Spicy and humid today, but kinda getting used to it. Would be cool to snag a storm the next few days. Too much water vapor to leave untapped.
  6. Might get blobbed here. Hearing thunder in the distance now.
  7. I’m not kidding when I say that the 270 split is a precip magnet.
  8. The lack of any actual, significant storms that target our region is a thing, and it's been a thing for about 2 years now. I was just thinking recently about how we seem to excel at clouds and scattered vorts that basically do nothing once they get past the mountains. I wonder if it's a product of an overactive Pacific/northern stream and a jet stream that's been too far north.
  9. Planning to see it tonight, actually lol.
  10. Outstanding humidity today...if we don't get at least 0.5" of rain over the next 2 days, then we're not good at weather anymore.
  11. Looks like another round incoming. How much tbd
  12. Legendary split so far in Frederick. In other news, I’ve seen a lot of lantern flies lately.
  13. Stealth, though relatively brief downpour. Probably snagged ~0.5” total from this latest batch (guesstimate).
  14. Water vapor loop looks outstanding for Frederick.
  15. My “breeze before a storm is not ideal” is in effect rn but it’s also humid so maybe that line from Hagerstown will still produce.
  16. Just a passing shower or two here today. Otherwise, cloudy with occasional peeks of sun.
  17. The Frederick rain shield is turning into a powerful force again.
  18. Our cloud to precip ratio is not ideal.
  19. Well I guess I made a decent guess at the precip amount lol. Productive rain, all things considered.
  20. Mostly just a rainer here. Couple rumbles. Though I’m assuming at least 0.25” from this line.
  21. Rain has picked up, but definitely lacking in T&L.
  22. Radar looks intriguing. Sun is in and out in Frederick…I’m ready for some electrical storms.
