When I first starting drinking the good shit after you, Mappy, and Chill recommended Eagle Rare, I tried Rowan’s Creek and thought it was too spicy. For some reason, I’m liking it now…guess my palate has advanced lol. Also, Mazel tov on retirement.
Today’s weather was cold, the wind was in my face at times, but the sun was inspiring. I’m hyped about getting a week of milder weather before the next (and possibly last) phase of winter tracking.
My winter gut is, too. I’m not opposed to warmer weather at this point so I can get more cardio in. I’ve got one more snowstorm left, but very open to the upcoming “relatively” milder stretch.
Had a couple of those in the coed softball league I played in for a few years. What I miss most is mountain biking. The last few winters I’d be able get some trail riding in, but this was definitely a cold leaning winter…which is fine because we were due.
Turning into a gorgeous day up here...looks like clouds are breaking up again. I actually think the models (with the exception of a couple teasers) did a great job overall, especially the gfs, at showing that there would be little to no phasing between the SS and NS for our area. GFS only had one run in the last 5 days that looked good...https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/?model=gfs®ion=us&pkg=mslp_pcpn_frzn&runtime=2025021512&fh=114. Every other run was clearly favoring southeast sections.
Tomorrow afternoon is our opportunity to at least steal a dessert out of this meal:

VA Beach is in a different climate...if they're getting up to 10", then forget about it here. I can't think of a single event where I would get several inches and they would, too. This setup is absolutely beautiful for that location, but up here there's just too much cold/dry air.
