  1. Day 2 of sunshine…spring is springing.
  2. Sunny today (win), looks like sun tomorrow (another win), but getting that 3rd day straight of sunshine is very difficult around here. So far, it looks like clouds/rain return on Wednesday. The main reason I look forward to summer is because we're generally out of the "all day cloudy/cool" vibe. With that said, having some rain to wash out what's been a pretty solid pollen year so far, is something I'm ok with.
  3. It’s the clouds I could have done without…esp when it’s cool outside…though it was a good day to see the Flying Cows (Frederick’s new semi pro team). And I did cave by playing some hoops outside to finish the day…the sun made an appearance around dinner time. I made it work.
  4. I want it to be 88, humid, hazy, and swampy with afternoon storms every 3 days. I’m 100% all in on a classic dc summer.
  5. Today's weather was primo...nice, warm temps with occasional storms to keep things interesting, but not enough rain up this way to keep me off the courts. This is what I'm here for.
  6. Frederick is a rain magnet…the opposite of last year.
  7. Rooting for a NW flow around here is suspect. It's probably my least favorite type of weather pattern...typically leads to dry and/or cloudy and/or breezy and/or wildfires. I'd rather live in the desert (southwest is on my radar) where that kind of weather just makes sense. Around here, this area is lush...or supposed to be. We need a dominant sw to easterly flow/storms/humidity with occasional frontal passages, not the other way around.
  8. There was some healthy thunder for a while…think it started around 2am.
  9. Lol, I haven’t ventured into road biking yet, though I did have to fight some wind on one of the climbs today.
  10. It was breezy here and part of the reason I chose to bike today over hoops. I think the wind helped dry out the Frederick watershed…streams are running high, but the trail itself was in better shape than I expected.
  11. I’m hoping for a stanky/swampy summer. We’re due.
  12. Wind-infused shower moving through my neck of the woods atm.
  13. Woke up s couple times to gusty torrents last night. Frederick has been doing pretty well since last summer’s rain shadow fiasco.
  14. LWX isn't doing too well with this system. It's been a generally nice day again today...and an overall pleasant week.
  15. Yea, when I saw the Nam yesterday it didn't look all that inspiring for rain today, though I thought there was still rain in the forecast today. I'm good with today turning out as it did.
  16. Yea, it’s hilariously nice out.
  17. Looks like the forecast for rain today is turning into a moderate sized bust...and I'm ok with that.
  18. Beautiful temps today. Just played some full court hoops, but it was clearly a pollen covered court. I had a feeling allergies were gonna ramp up after last week.
  19. High clouds have moved in lol. Ah well. I didn’t have any glasses for this one and we’re at peak dim. Til next time…
  20. They added the eclipse overlay to the satellite imagery: https://www.star.nesdis.noaa.gov/GOES/conus_band.php?sat=G16&band=GEOCOLOR&length=24 Looks like our region is back to being a professional cloud magnet. We'll see how much in the way of debris clouds makes their way across the mountains.
  21. On the bright side, the rain might keep allergies at bay. I’m expecting an uptick in pollen again.
  22. This works: https://www.star.nesdis.noaa.gov/GOES/sector_band.php?sat=G16&sector=ne&band=GEOCOLOR&length=12&dim=1
  23. I was hoping it would be by Saturday. I think I'm gonna cave soon and get a hoops sesh in anyway.
