  1. It’s become incredibly difficult to get a closed ull south of our latitude.
  2. You guys weren't kidding about the cold smoke...2m temps are nippy. Absolutely zero temp issues along 95 with that run.
  3. I'm only 2 miles nw of Rt 15, so I'm going to classify myself as east.
  4. It could be like 50 miles further south, but yea that's going to shut things down for a couple days.
  5. You referring to this HECS look? https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/?model=icon&region=us&pkg=z500_vort&runtime=2025021518&fh=114
  6. Icon looks better than the gfs and euro at h5. If we can lock that solution in, we're winning.
  7. I think it’s just larger scale systems, so less room for chaos.
  8. This has turned into a majestic rain event.
  9. Need the NS upper level energy to dig further south or we’re looking at a congrats Boston. I’m retired from 3-6” snowfalls for the season…it’s go time.
  10. We don’t lock in snowfall here until it snows lol
  11. Only a coating here, but radar looks great up there…not surprised. Think the changeover is occurring here as I type.
  12. Still snowing…I want to head out, but roads looks rough for the time being.
  13. Quick coating on all surfaces here, but pingers have entered the picture.
  14. I think what we're seeing is a bit of a later capture than we'd like, but still time to get that upper level energy a bit further south.
  15. I'm just not there yet lol. Been in this game too long. Let me see the Euro.
  16. Coastal New England still looks like the best spot to be for this. It's a better run, but still kinda ots. In other news, it's snowing right now (and sticking)...that's all this winter really wants to do...so there's that.
  17. Coastal hugger and basically a mecs.
  18. From experience, we typically need the northern stream to dig more or else the coastal will get going too late. However, this looks more like a miller hybrid so we can still get a snowstorm out of it if the cutoff low takes a northern route.
  19. Good catch...snagged a WWA here, too. I meant it when I said Frederick is in a spot where we just kinda get a slice of most storms. It's also an underrated chilly outside...it's got a dense feel to it.
  20. Doesn’t phase like the euro, but seemed like an improvement early on.
  21. What about the "use the model with the least amount of snow" rule? I'm still not fond of that PV placement. I guess I'm hoping for a hecs with the bowling ball ull is further south. A mecs sounds awesome, though.
  22. Or getting 3" near the base of the Catoctin's while the mixing bowl gets 6.
