  1. I’ll take this if we won’t be seeing any rain or excitement otherwise. Beats the filth we dealt with for two weeks.
  2. NYC was likely 100 on Tuesday. Several other stations in the city hit 100, and even though they’re amateur stations, several in Nassau hit 100 too.
  3. When the landscapers finally clear the bushes around the Central Park site.
  4. When the seabreeze came in (again easily visible on radar), humidity spiked.
  5. Glad to know I jinxed it.
  6. If the Euro/GFS are right, any drought will be long gone by the end of the month. If this cutoff and onshore flow are real, it’s a recipe for gushers for days.
  7. Think I’ll go with the under.
  8. Because it worked out so well yesterday with the soaker widespread storms and 2-3", I'm totally jumping on board with this.
  9. Sea breeze front and more humidity finally made it up here.
  10. More like row boat watch.
  11. Pronounced sea breeze boundary today, looks like it stalled around the LIE in Suffolk and Hempstead Tpke in Nassau.
  12. Long Beach the hot spot today-up to 85 already. If anyone gets to 90 it might be there. It can heat up in S Nassau on these N wind days. Bit if a downslope component from the north shore.
  13. Was funny watching the steam rising from the street as the rain was ending this evening. I've had enough FL summer weather.
  14. About 0.6” here by radar estimate, looks about over where I am. I gladly take.
  15. Moderate rain just started here. Guess we’ll see what happens.
  16. 1.5” and a flood advisory in the Great Neck/Manhasset area. Hopefully some part of that survives east into Suffolk.
  17. The seabreeze actually helps to fire storms on LI-it's a boundary that can force warm/moist air to rise as the cool air comes in from the ocean. Unfortunately it screws over the south shore since the boundary usually travels a few miles inland before firing storms, and it's been as dead as anything else for the last couple of weeks.
  18. 94/77/109. The Syosset station is back up to 99. It’s probably a little high but Oyster Bay is 97.
  19. Looks like some kind of boundary is over us-seabreeze/outflow. If only something can fire on it. I think I heard thunder a minute ago.
  20. Hottest it’s been so far here. 95/76/109. Dark clouds to my north but the showers are likely headed to my east.
  21. A Wunderground station that looks like it’s near Jackson Ave. Its down to 94 now but there were a few stations in that area in the upper 90s.
  22. Syosset 100 now. Crazy how 20 minutes or so south in Jones Beach it’s upper 70s.
  23. Ambrose Jet must be picking up. Long Beach down to about 80. Jones Beach only 77. Here-94/76/107.
  24. Glen Cove 100, Woodbury 98. About as hot as it gets here.
  25. ISP 94, HI 106. Sooo glad we’ll be rid of this soon.
