Yeah the wind has been ferocious this evening. Like you said very odd to see a cold wind blow through like this at the end of April.

Finally getting in on the action here with some flakes and sleet flying around as the wind is howling. Of course the end of April and we see snow in the higher elevations.

I guarantee you elevations above 5k are seeing snow currently.

That is an awesome temp to bring in May lol especially during the day.

Today is going to be another washout in the area. Not as cold but going to be a nasty day.

So far this morning is a page right out of late October. A cold dreary day today.

The new 12z euro looks downright rough. Looks cold and rainy with a persistent trough over the east.

Just got home from work. Heavy frost from town to home. Had to defrost the windshield. Current temp is the elusive 20s.... To be exact I'm at 27. The coldest reading in this cold stretch so far.

Temp down to 37 already tonight. Going to be another frosty morning.

Another freeze/frost tonight then looks like we enter an absolute disgusting time period for our weather. It's going to be cool and rainy for several days. Could see several inches of rainfall the upcoming week.

I got down to 31 this morning with another frosty morning.

Just got home and we have a pretty good frost on the ground as well on the vehicles with a current temp of 31 degrees and will likely drop a few more degrees before sunrise.

There will be places that hit the middle 20s. I guarantee it.

Temp down to 37 already. Looks like a frost at least tonight.

Im seeing a possible freeze the first of May which will not help things out. Hopefully the fruit trees can withstand such. I fully expect 20s to pepper areas over the coming days.

What a turnaround in temps today. Went from 75 plus yesterday to 55 minus today. Already down into the 40s this evening.

Yeah it's definitely done that before. We've had some snow here in Haywood as late as May 4th I believe.
