  1. Man...it's pouring here. TAN dome in full effect
  2. Well, it's finally raining here in TBlizz land! It's very exciting. 74/68...steamy
  3. Cranky swore that Laura was maxing out as a Cat 2 and would weaken before landfall. He's The Onion of Twitter weather
  4. same here. Bees/yellow jackets have taken over the feeders
  5. I was a freshman at U. Of Miami when Andrew hit. I believe the highest wind recorded at the old NHC building across the street from campus was 142 before their equipment got blown off the roof. Spent the storm on the second floor of one of the towers. The roar of the wind was ridiculous and it was pushing water into the hallways through the storm doors.
  6. There's a WU station 1.5 miles from my house, TAN is 5 miles away. It's been an incredibly hot summer for SEMA since the end of June/start of July....Top 5 at worst. I don't know what else to tell you
  7. No not at all. The cement is all sloped away from the pool (very slightly)
  8. We did our pool 3 years ago. So happy with it, especially this summer. Bob designed the farmers porch, which we did at the same time. Wouldn't change a thing. We use the porch is like a another family/dining room in spring/summer/fall. It's not just pools that are impossible to find....I've wired many hot tubs since Covid hit and have a couple more scheduled Hot tubs and pools are nearly impossible to find right now
  9. Yeah would have been nice to get more but it was something. It was just good to have a couple days without blazing sun and 90s.
  10. Wind is crazy here right now just ahead of that line. Lost power about 20 minutes ago which is very unusual for my neighborhood. Got the generator going but it doesn't power the central AC. I doubt they're sending crews out anytime soon to pull branches off power lines.
  11. My wife's parents live in Nova Scotia. Her Dad is having open heart surgery next week (had a heart attack a few days ago). She can't travel there to stay with her mom or visit him in the hospital. If the worst happened, we couldn't go to any services. It sucks, but I don't blame them for not wanting anyone from the US to come.
  12. Had flakes in the air here, which is crazy. Sun and clouds now
  13. It's been like 200 yard visibilty for about 2 hours now. Just blasting. Impossible to say how much on the ground, but Brett just said about 7"....it's all of that. If it stays like this for another hour we'll be close to 10 here
  14. Visibility is maybe 250 yards now in heavy heavy snow. Good stuff
  15. heaviest snow if the storm by far....based on my landmarks, it's under 1/8m....This is how we'll get to 18+ today (if we do)
  16. S+, nice big flakes. Not seeing the sustained winds we had last week. It seems to be coming in huge gusts, then dropping to dead calm before ramping up again. No melting down in these parts....great storm for this area
  17. Looks like 3+ so far but it's so windy it's tough to tell. S+ with 31/31 Reports of power outages already in Raynham, but all good here. Generator on standby anyway, so it's fine either way.
  18. Just checked outside, looks like very heavy snow, grass mostly covered now. 32/31...no mixing here. Can Raynham hit 30"?
