  1. In a bit of a dry slot down here in SE MA. 35, super windy but nothing falling. That heavy band is about 5 miles to my west. Hopefully it all slowly rotates thru over the next few hours.
  2. Temp down to 39 and absolutely pouring. Maybe 4:00 for a changeover here
  3. Nice call by BOX. Power still out here (for the rest of the neighborhood, at least)
  4. Just a little standby. I plug it into an outside plug and it does half the house. As long as the main breaker is shut off it's "safe". Trust me...I'm a master electrician!
  5. Power has been out for about an hour. I guess there's a big tree down on the main road in our neighborhood. Could be awhile....thankfully, we gennie
  6. Yeah the wind is crazy here right now. That 50 mph report is definitely legit.
  7. Thought a truck crashed in front of my house...whole place shook for about 3 seconds
  8. 3" in Canton. Even the main roads are in bad shape. Very impressive for October 30th
  9. Working in Canton, just a few miles south of Blue Hills. Couple inches
  10. Would be pretty cool to have a Zoom room from like 9- midnight within a couple days of a big threat as the models roll in
  11. A zoom meeting would be great for model analysis or discussions in the days leading up to big storms this winter
  12. Yes....my wife's parents live in Nova Scotia (Cape Breton). She hasn't seen them since last Thanksgiving. Her dad had triple bypass in June and she hasn't been able to go up there. Sucks
  13. Yeah, 2 areas on either side of Raynham with downed lines causing fires. Times like this I'm glad we have a small municipal power company. They'll get us up and running quickly. It'll be one of those nights where you're woken up at 2:00 with every light in the house on.
  14. Welp, this scene is about 2 miles from my house. No power and looks to stay that way for a while. Generator is humming and we will be ok
  15. 67/54 Sun is in and out of clouds. Beautiful day for working outside. After digging a trench this morning can confirm that you wouldn't know we received .4"of rain two days ago. Ground is 100% dry
  16. Wow, 73/70 at midnight on Sept 30 here in the SE MA dust bowl.
  17. Man...it's pouring here. TAN dome in full effect
  18. Well, it's finally raining here in TBlizz land! It's very exciting. 74/68...steamy
  19. Cranky swore that Laura was maxing out as a Cat 2 and would weaken before landfall. He's The Onion of Twitter weather
  20. same here. Bees/yellow jackets have taken over the feeders
  21. I was a freshman at U. Of Miami when Andrew hit. I believe the highest wind recorded at the old NHC building across the street from campus was 142 before their equipment got blown off the roof. Spent the storm on the second floor of one of the towers. The roar of the wind was ridiculous and it was pushing water into the hallways through the storm doors.
  22. There's a WU station 1.5 miles from my house, TAN is 5 miles away. It's been an incredibly hot summer for SEMA since the end of June/start of July....Top 5 at worst. I don't know what else to tell you
