  7. Bush River inlet area. I've spotted them in the open river too but not for years. Maybe need to start paying more attention. That is cool! SO CUTE
  8. I saw a river otter! It has been a long time. It was in an area where there *are* usually beavers but I saw it lope across a path and into water and the shape was pretty clear. Now there needs to be snow so I can go back around there and look for tracks!

  10. I LOVED that squall. Maybe the best rates I've ever seen(?) I remember being mesmerized by these wild rippling shadows cast on the ground by all that densely falling snow. I believe we've reminisced before and for some it was nbd but awesome here. The modest amount of snow really did its best to drift, too.

  14. I'm mostly glad the 'growing season' is intact for a bit because my zinnias and mexican sunflowers are covered in buds Some nights I've worried about the latter but they've been champs. Hummingbirds long gone, bees still enjoying. I will leave some of this standing over the winter for bird seed.
