Just missed it here with a high of 99° yesterday...low temp of 73° after the rain which totaled just 0.09". Also was my 4th warmest June of record.

Some of my earliest obs...I have a temp split of 60/56 for 7/4/78 ...I have 2.72" rain for the 3rd and 4th combined. I remember the chill watching the parade.

Never liked the use of probability percentages in a forecast...as you mentioned it has always caused confusion....have always believed that a properly worded forecast is the way to do it.
