    8.5" total here with the 2.5" that fell overnight...Melted came in at 1.01".

    Had 0.5" mostly sleet past couple hours to go along with the earlier 5.5" of snow, so 6" officially...lines up well with my 0.65 melted equiv.

    Snowed pretty good for awhile here on si...covered all non paved areas, temp dropped to 32° during snow...Put it down as 0.2"...First measurable snow since Jan 18th.

    I may be wrong, but I don't believe that ferry crash was weather related....pilot error . The captains doctor had his license suspended due to the findings.... The doctor happened to be our family doctor also.

    Yeah record cold outbreaks last two November's followed by crummy winters...hopefully things work in reverse this year.

    Man a pattern like this in Dec-Mar....Such a strong anomalous ridge, where you know days in advance, that nothings gonna be happening for 10 winter wasting days.

    Same here on si...They still haven't figured out forecasting temps here...we're not urban Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens. One of my pet peeves lol.

    Turned out to be a wet October with a 5.97" total here. Drought never affected these parts.
