    Winds are absolutely cranking right now.. my folks in rural Champaign clocking 35mph gusts. We may reach blizzard criteria.

    E-W roads are a disaster. Drifting already occurring in rural roadways. Almost showtime, the heavy rates are knocking on my doorstep. 1-2”/hr rates being mentioned. I want double digits. Would imagine Champaign will be paralyzed tonight /tomorrow.

    Yeah I live just outside Champaign (rural) and the roads are crap already. As Alek said, high impact event incoming.

    Snowing at 1 degree, this is awesome. Just went for a short drive. 1” of powder already turning the roads into a disaster with a 20mph wind, already causing blowing snow. I hate to imagine what they will be like later with 6-10”. probably impassable.

    Holy sheeet! You have an 18” snow depth? Here in Champaign mines at 2”. Amazing what 2 hours north can do.

    Huge disappointment. Besides one 3” snowfall, the remaining 6.7” that has fallen has been from 1” events. The same looks to continue. Getting pixie dust right now.
