    Multiple rounds of rain this week, would have to assume coupled with the 50’s we should see a nice green up. Grid is showing a shot at 2-3” any drought concerns can be put to sleep for the time being.

    It’s just remarkable I’ve made from November to March with 6.2” of snow.

    Some similarities with 2012-2013 and 2022-2023 temp wise. Obviously this winter is a decaying weak La Niña to enso neutral, I’m curious to see if this spring plays out similarly to 2013, which was miserable, cold and wet. If I remember correctly enso neutral was observed for all of 2013, so I’m curious to see how fast this El Niño comes on.

    In the past six years, five have been La Niña, it’s time to shake things up. I want a moderate nino, 02-03 and 09-10 were some fun fall and winters. Yes, I’m Creed Bratton now.

    First 70 of the year yesterday, got in a nice bacon wrapped brat smoke session. With 30-45 minutes remaining I brush them with my homemade bbq sauce and it creates a carmelish glaze.

    Topped out at 59. The itch is getting real by the day, grills going in the neighborhood. Spring forward is 7 days away, that’ll put things in overdrive, unfortunately ma nature has other plans.

    That’s insane. I couldn’t fathom 136 days of snowcover. 5 1/2 months is just absurd. Also, 3rd year Nina’s are very kind to MSP.

    Some of the most insane sustained winds I’ve seen around these parts in quite sometime. CMI recorded a 70mph wind gust, with multiple trees uprooted, power outages, tree damage. while the snow didn’t really stick, the conditions were just legit for quite awhile. Such a dynamic system.

    Starting met spring off with a banger of a day. Minimal breeze and topping out around 65. Inject this weather into my veins everyday.

    Late Christmas present bow wrapped and all just for you. I don’t want it. I’m gonna secret Santa it to y’all.

    Ending met winter with 6.2”. Dad 20 miles south had 5.2” on the season.
