  1. Cold Turkey takes on a whole new meaning
  2. I could never shoot anything but I’d be foolish and a hypocrite not to understand the necessity
  3. I could have sworn Thanksgiving of ‘88 or ‘89 Boston’s southern suburbs got a good dumping. I remember my car sliding into a snow bank on the way to dinner?
  4. Time to stick a fork in the tropical season for another year it seems
  5. Is it safe to assume that disturbance just off of Africa which has about a 70% chance to develop will also become a fish due to developing too soon?
  6. Swells are swell but a ‘cane takes away the pain
  7. I always thought a hurricane Bruce would be terrifying
  8. “Jerry” of course will go down as “the storm about nothing”
  9. If that area in the Antilles doesn’t develop soon I’m going to charter a plane and drop dry ice on it myself
  10. That must be the one behind Humberto I was inquiring about?
  11. How about the disturbance behind Humberto? Does that have a future anywhere?
  12. Is this the system in the Bahamas or the one further out in the Atlantic expected to develop? That’s the one I thought may have the slightly better chance to impact someone
  13. I think I might have developed tropical suppression depression.
  14. After what I just read looks like this t shirt will be “the great breezy drizzle of ‘19”. Very disconcerting
  15. Just give me a strong cat 1 with a PRE and diet soda and I’m good for another decade
  16. I forget what the lead time was on Gloria. I assume it was considerable as it was a Cape Verde storm
  17. Even the local NECN met broadcast is alluding to a heightened potential late next week
  18. At least it seems all the pieces will be on the chess board. Should be fun to follow
  19. Now we’re in business. But are any of the east coast/NE impacts plausible from a met standpoint?
  20. Let’s hope the Atlantic becomes a “rumba line” of storms the next few weeks
  21. It’s storms like this I wish my grandparents had stayed in maritime Canada
  22. It absolutely didn’t “perform” as it was once forecasted to do. And I remember the many ‘38 comparisons at the time too
  23. I suspect hitting at low tide and it’s timing was also a large factor in people’s perception of Gloria. If it did the opposite it would have been much more notable IMHO. People also tend to use ‘38 as the standard bearer in much the same way older snow weenies use ‘78 to compare every snowstorm
  24. Interesting... How were the 50’s for snow around here?
  25. So according to my scoresheet that would put Nova Scotia ahead of SNE in hurricanes 2-0 the last twenty five years
