  1. Melting underway here in PPB after about 4-5 inches. Finally I can say it's the most snow since January 2022.
  2. Monmouth Ocean Mercer Middlesex counties have nothing in common with cape May or Bergen counties. Don't do this. Central NJ exists and we're getting snow this evening. That's what matters.
  3. I mean I get it, it's a hyperlocal issue. Southern Monmouth northern ocean east of the parkway has gotten shafted since 2022. We can't even get more than 1.5 out of one system. A few miles into Wall and it's a different story.
  4. It looks like down by me we will get our biggest snowfall since January 2022. It's about damn time.
  5. Have y'all given up on the Tuesday system already? I'm flying back to EWR landing at 1pm and terrified of getting back to the beach. I left my ice and snow cleaning gear in my car at the parking spot where I dumped my car for the weekend lol
  6. drought monitor remains unchanged for NJ this week - it's probably frozen.
  7. I should probably help take the fire discussion to off topic (mods feel free to move the fire related posts) but I heard today lawsuits were filed against the electric company. It's believed downed wires still charged started the Altadena fire according to the lawsuits.
  8. the snowcover is helping because as it melts it's not running off it's getting into the ground as limited as it is especially over the NJ Pinelands. A dry pattern in February would not be good though.
  9. I think DarkStar's snow triangle says "luck." We need luck.
  10. Was out in Trenton today where ice has clogged the city water works new 9 million dollar Delaware River intake system. Someone's got some splainin' to do.
  11. we were out shooting an ice safety package on the Barnegat Bay in Harvey Cedars. It was absolutely brutal outside. Temp 30, winds gusting to 40 plus. That was at noon. I'm still cold.
  12. I was out in them here in NJ for work especially Jackson - parts of the area are a ticking time bomb especially western Ocean County with all of the senior communities. With that being said, the worst fire in NJ I've covered couldn't even be compared to what I saw out in CA during the week I was there.
  13. I was out in the November 2018 where the Woolsey Fire broke out in the San Fernando Valley area. Those Santa Ana winds are no joke. They were cold, came in bursts and waves, and the western end of the neighborhood was evacuated. I think we had 60 mph plus at my aunt's house in Woodland Hills and flames were visible from the driveway. Absolutely terrifying. Was watching the coverage on ABC7 this morning. This looks way worse for that region than what I saw in 2018 and that was bad.
  14. Manahawkin in Southern Ocean County got less snow than Wall Township in southern Monmouth County.
  15. Inch and a half at my place. Almost 2 inches at my office in Wall. Equals the most snow in a single storm here since January 2022.
  16. I'm in Ship Bottom LBI. MEH. 3/4 inch, was barely flurrying now back to light snow. Roads went from snow covered to just wet with the lightening of the precip.
  17. This has the potential to give a lot of us the most snow we've seen since January 2022 (I'm talking about central coastal NJ who have gotten screwed) It would only take slightly more than an inch at my place to be specific in Point Beach to beat 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 single storm snow total.
  18. Icon with a much slower exit as some Atlantic moisture lingers over Jersey. Interesting solution.
  19. Then you read on to see the hyped forecast post is sponsored by Big Al's Travel Deals and Snow Blowers. So not only are they playing off hype mongering, but they're also profiting off of telling others not to do this, then doing it.
