  1. Looks like the nao and sw ridge helped push the cold east. That’s a very active look as well. It snowed every weekend that winter
  2. Was their any indication that 95/96 was going to be that good? It was a combo of pna/-nao?
  3. He has been correct unfortunately….sucks clicking off weeks in winter like it’s nothing…
  4. What I meant is that I don’t think this is a year like 11/12 or 19/20 when it’s a complete shut out. I feel we will finish below avg snowfall wise but still get a favorable 2-3 week period
  5. I do think it gets bad closer to February. but in Niña like this we usually get a 2-3 week window to get something .
  6. Mjo going 7-8-1….hopefully we get gain some strength in p2
  7. Snowman is going to flip when he reads this…everyone get ready for numerous tweets about how it won’t last long
  8. 18z euro shifted towards the gfs with slower vort and better ridge. Gets light snow into acy
  9. Definitely a improvement from last night. The GEFS and geps are 2014 lol
  10. I just hope it’s not smoothing the trough out but when we get closer it’s stronger. The pna signal is very strong which is nice to see
  11. Yeah, can’t have that deep trough in Ak. Need to work on that
  12. Agree. If we didn’t have blocking we would have had more precipitation but I think temps would have been warmer.
  13. Agree. But we can’t have it getting Uber strong either. It’s been above avg but nothing crazy as of yet.
  14. He never liked how the pacific looked with this upcoming blocking. The numbers aren’t good for nyc when the pna was so negative.
  15. Agree. Just going to need to make the most out of the next 2-3 weeks.(talking more my area, but it’s been a struggle everywhere) If we don’t get a mjo help and the Pv consolidates it would be hard to reverse that quickly.
  16. Not a ideal run on the eps last night. Let’s hope that’s wrong and the American guidance is correct
  17. Didn’t like the end of the eps with the core of the cold consolidated near the pole/north
  18. Cmc took a huge step towards the gfs tonight. Sometimes we find a way to snow on these frontal waves in years like this….we shall see what happens
