  1. It definitely looks cold, snowy will still depend on the storm track. We don't need the NAO falling over a cliff, otherwise we will be in trouble and it could end up being cold and dry.
  2. We need precip more than anything right now. I'd gladly burn some of next month if it means putting down moisture for later on.
  3. By the way Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there and safe travels.
  4. Yes, you kind of don't want to go into winter in a drought. It usually fucks up moisture transport into the region. So rain now would be a welcome sight to see.
  5. Yeah pattern definitely favors the opposite especially as you go into December.
  6. It wasn't a sudden onset but gradual. That is probably why.
  7. I do like the potential going into December, you get ridging into Alaska and the eastern Aleutians which tends to be favorable for troughing in the west so we would at the very least have a storm track coming in from the southwest, if that ridge can tilt a bit northeastward you could dump down a good amount of cold air.
  8. They don't like volunteers, I volunteered months ago, and was suggested by Alek, along with you. Neither of us were made mod.
  9. Sure it can go there from now on, now that it is explained, but don't go deleting everything from here. People deserve to know the truth about why he isn't a mod and why me and others aren't posting here
  10. Blizzard of 99 with more thundersnow.
  11. This, to hell with drought, working in weather I want weather.
  12. It seems I hit pay dirt with my question.
  13. I investigated, 99 https://mesowest.utah.edu/cgi-bin/droman/meso_base_dyn.cgi?product=&past=1&stn=Kord&unit=0&time=LOCAL&day1=22&month1=06&year1=2022&hour1=1
  14. Interesting since that was a couple days before the Flint Beecher tornado. Guess it shows how dynamic that system was.
  15. Sure, and I thought there was a potential up there for tornadoes too, but that doesn't make it chaseable, which is what matters here.
  16. Id gamble on something coming in sooner than expected vs trying the forest north of US-10
  17. It's very unchasable. I'd say if you want to chase in the state just chase the thumb and hope something hits there.
  18. I like the week after Labor Day, less people around and if I get lucky it can still be in the 80s.
  19. Deep winter up there still, I have been to the UP on vacation in the first 2 weeks of May. If I came up there to this, I would turn around.
