    101.1. At least my feels like went from 114 to 111. Had to go out onto the deck to clip some chives. Even though I soaked my deck plants early this morning the poor things just gave up.

    7am 84/76/93. Keeping the third level of our TH cool in this is a challenge. Especially with solar panels on the front of it.

    I am of the mindset that if we are going to have tropical dewpoints then we are entitled to have tropical downpours.

    Going on 9 and sitting at 88/79 with a heat index of 104. That is just not right.

    Yeah. And I thought today was not to be this hot. It is hard to breathe outside. This is the heat that I can do without.

    This early humidity and heat is no joke. Just got a call from my youngest who is helping at a Pony Camp in Bluemont. She just passed out. She is ok but it was a wake up call that she needs to get some issues she has been having figured out. It was definitely the heat that cause it.

    Hoping all the garden and yard work I just did lets Mother Nature give me some good soaking rain. I watered all the grass seed I put down but would like some help with that.

    What an absolutely glorious morning! 71 and while the humidity is at 66 sitting out on my deck which is in shade for the morning I am having some breakfast and working on my meal plans.

    Catching the edge of the stuff to my south. Eating dinner on the deck under the umbrella under sprinkles and hearing all the planes out of Dulles taking off this way due to the storms to the south.

    At least we are getting some late afternoon sun after a pretty gray cloud deck today.

    Well we definitely have more humidity today. Here in Frederick is is pretty much overcast with some occasional peaks of blue skies. Where I am at currently I can see the Catoctin Range and it is a gray haze looking West over them. Not sure what to expect from today. Either I will be surprised by some rain maybe even some rumbling. Or it will just be another overcast humid day. 50/50 craps shoot.

    Excellent summer so far. Beautiful breeze today and 79. Here is my local CSA haul for this week. Going to sit on the deck and shell those 3 bags of English peas.

    .26” this morning. Had some nice rolling thunder. Nice feature on the new Capital Weather app is the alert for lightning strikes in my area. Had it go off a few times.

    North of I-70 usually does well. My area down here gets split a lot. There have been many times I am watching radar and it crosses over 340 splits in my area and then the line reconnects to my East near 270.

    Am enjoying the app. The only one I have that gives me auditable storm warnings and lightning detected in my area with push notifications. Signed up as a yearly sustainer.

    So usually I have seen SKYWARN spotters activated at the bottom of the watch itself. This time they put up a special statement. Is that a new way they are doing it? Also I have the Baltimore/Washington number. Is it the same one for Sterling?
