  1. I am a firm believer that the "times are a changin'" on this point. The sun is hotter/more intense every day of the year now....than it was 30- 40 years ago.
  2. Just hit 60. At 10:10AM on a Sunny June 17th.
  3. Yea, I should have stated much above and I was thinking wall to wall to mean every day. MDT probably does cruise on into July being 1-3 degrees above normal for June. Anything less than 5 is not too bad for me. Yesterday and today are indeed perfectly nice days. On our side, the rain has been much better this year than last so not complaining. Just like to see it every few days.
  4. Yep, but I hesitate saying it as to avoid irritating those who want heat (seriously). But the chances of a wall to wall above average summer are indeed gone. On another subject and 90's this weekend, the reason other models do not approach those totals, as of now, are the clouds and rain (especially the CMC) they portray. So have hopes for a bit of wet over this weekend. You look golden either way.
  5. That would be a big departure from the models, except the EC which has been running 5-10 degrees too warm, to hit 90 this weekend. Hopefully not.
  6. I have had a good one week period but areas just to my east not so much.
  7. That place may be raising the temp in the area.
  8. I am just not feeling comfortable with just an inch forecast over 240 hours. That is bare minimum this time of the year.
  9. EC is cold considering it is the EC after the front passage next week. Portends to more 40's possible. Both EC and GFS are way too dry (LSV, not W PA) for my liking through 240.
  10. It depends on who is watching. If Voyager makes the call we may pay :-). But in our defense we just hoped for cold/cool weather without belittling anyone in the process.
  11. Sounds like some years had the idea of punking the first day of Astro Summer.
  12. Check out the first full day of Astro Summer 540 line on the Euro
  13. Yea, I checked that first. Mid night around 70 then mid morning temps in the mid 70's before the heat is cracker jacked.
  14. Actually highs would be earlier in the day....but yes mid day temps around 60 and not moving up front there.
  15. Was worried that lack of 12Z GFS chatter meant the heat was trying to slip back in but then saw this mid day super front passage FTW. More firewood. Take that Astro Summer.
  16. LOL. It will be a salute to Canderson as he is flying over and out to the Texas frying pan.. Two gun salute.
  17. If you look at the shaded 2M maps it really does show a big difference between western LSV and eastern as to this AM. 3-5 degrees.
  18. Well during the lull I guess anything can be interesting. HRRR says MDT just misses 40's tonight. Will be a slam dunk for colder locations though. I expect 45-47ish here. It is still only 61 right now here with full sun at 9:30.
  19. EC grazes the southern part of the LSV with the trop moisture but the N/W side is shaved off due to the influence of a much stronger SLP in S/E Canada (with snow!). So one jog south and we are dry for the next 10 days on the EC.
  20. 51 here this AM. Had the fan blowing air in last night and it got so cold in the house, the heat came on.
  21. @Cashtown_Coop may have scored a bit this evening.
