We had the Choo Choo train sound and some damage here SO probable tornado at least partially down. Not sure straight line winds would make that sound. My recycle bin is gone. Trash can went into my neighbors house and damaged their siding. Crazy. No power
If the NWS knows it is going to pull one they should pull it, IMO. There are already storms in the non watched area. They are FLYING as to West to East Speed.
Either way, New Orleans should be on alert. Until the recent trend stops, they are always in the bullseye.
RE: my comment about D0 drought. One look at this map dwarfs any dryness issues around here. Nation altering (climate change or not).
10 days straight of on and off rain is like a firehose (looks like a stalled front with a tap into the Gulf). I see that system you mentioned landfall just a little east of New Orleans.
Interesting. Models are not picking up on it too much yet. Just scattered. We need to score today or tomorrow Am or we are in a bona fide Level 0 drought with no rain for days afterwards. Very scattered line later today.
