  1. Mean Avg temp goes to and back from 70 on very similar days for the first 10 days of Met summer and first 10 days of Met fall.
  2. Maybe, but most Mets and people with Met level skills go by Sept 1 so something to shoot for. Mean avg temps are below 70 again by Sept 8th.
  3. Not that long...like a cup of coffee. Seems not too far away being in the 40's for days now.
  4. We never did make it to 90 yesterday, a bit stunning after the HRRR showed mid 90's here. "Only" 74 right now.
  5. My wife left me, my truck won't start, and my dog died...but I am still howlin' at the moon asking the powers that be to keep my Kentucky Bluegrass and fescues alive.
  6. Get away mow day for you. Low of 63 here but a muggy low. Not bad out of the sun.
  7. Put the wham jam on Hershey Park evening activities. @paweather scores.
  8. Going to need radar to pick up something first!
  9. Some mid 90's showing up in Adams and Lanco County but only 87 here. 91 at MDT, 93 at CXY.
  10. Still several readings of 81-82 in the Micheaux Forest. Not everyone may get to 90 today.
  11. Nooners 84 here. 88 at MDT and 90 at CXY. A suspected hot day like today, last two years, would be exceeding models by now but this year the heaters just seem a bit less.
  12. Looks like CXY is only one degree higher than yesterday at 11. A bit surprised. HRRR still saying mid to upper 90's in store for them.
  13. We are going down end of Sept. Fingers crossed the water is still near 80 then. Have fun.
  14. Still not 80 here. I think we get 90 but not thinking anything spectacular out this way now.
  15. ....and this Drought map is as of 48 hours ago, so conditions have trended worse. With the GFS only showing 1/4"-1/2" of rain for the LSV over the next 5 days, there is a chance the drought map makes a decent push to the negative next week. The CMC is more wet during that time. Pop up winner cells do not do much to change this depiction. Need an area wide rain like much of the area got Sunday. I was in Western Carlisle earlier this week and it is brown and super dry.
  16. New Drought Map. D2 limited to a very small area of the LSV and D1 pulled back quite a bit. All of LSV in some level of drought/D0 still with D1 for most of Franklin and Cumberland and much of the southern LSV. Northeast Drought Summary The recent dryness in much of the Northeast Region was abruptly ended by heavy to excessive rainfall last week. Rainfall totals of 3.5 to locally 8.0 inches of rain pelted much of eastern Pennsylvania and the west half of New England, with numerous reports of flash flooding. Maine, lower New England, eastern New York, much of New Jersey, and a few patches across the mid-Atlantic Region and West Virginia recorded moderate to heavy amounts with isolated totals exceeding 3 inches. A few tenths of an inch of precipitation fell elsewhere, at best. Broad drought improvement or removal resulted across much of New England and the adjacent Northeast, but conditions were generally unchanged in the relatively drier areas, including parts of the mid-Atlantic Region and western sections of Pennsylvania and New York. The worst conditions on the Drought Monitor (D2) are now restricted to central Maryland and adjacent Pennsylvania Full Summary
  17. Yea, 2-3 days of sun and it does not matter if it rained 1/2" or 4" as to the plants.
  18. We have only had 2.8" in the last 34 days and 2/3 of that came in two events so not ideal for green growth.
  19. I checked my grass yesterday and it is fading back faster than I thought it would. No rain today or tomorrow and brown town is back. We are back to watering the garden twice a day as well.
  20. Even 70 this AM. Meso's are not looking very wet today....HRRR has a few pop up's late this afternoon while Nam is a blank out for most of the LSV though it has a line early Fri AM.
  21. I have been busy trying to get FM channels 115-120 in with no luck.
  22. One week later then round 2 is set. Joe Calhoun has punted 90 at MDT on Fri.
