  1. I think it also depends on your tank size and if you are filling up gas cans. An 18-gallon tank that is down to 1-gallon left could save $33 before the deduction for wasting gas while waiting. But the people here were within 10 min of everyday $3.29/gal gas in Maryland so their savings is even more muted.
  2. Was just driving by the Rouzerville Sheetz. About 1/3 of the pumps are closed now (out of gas) and there about 25-30 cars lined back route 16 a quarter mile then you have about 10-15 more to get through once in the parking lot so 35-40 car line. I was told the wait time is 120-150 minutes right now especially with so many pumps closed. To their credit they are doing it in an organized manner where someone is standing out directing people which pump to go when a spot opens. Saw lots of people filling up dozens of gas cans. Maybe that is why they are waiting because you eat all your profits away waiting in a running car for 2-3 hours.
  3. Monday, July 3, was the hottest day ever recorded globally, according to data from the U.S. National Centers for Environmental Prediction. The average global temperature reached 17.01 degrees Celsius (62.62 Fahrenheit), surpassing the August 2016 record of 16.92C (62.46F) as heatwaves sizzled around the world. The southern U.S. has been suffering under an intense heat dome in recent weeks. In China, an enduring heatwave continued, with temperatures above 35C (95F). North Africa has seen temperatures near 50C (122F). And even Antarctica, currently in its winter, registered anomalously high temperatures. Ukraine's Vernadsky Research Base in the white continent's Argentine Islands recently broke its July temperature record with 8.7C (47.6F).
  4. Yep, was just telling my dad the same thing. You have a 12-gallon tank with 10 open gallon space, and you save $1.85 a gallon over an hour or two period you can argue that it was a net loss. LOL.
  5. You can still find Mad Elf if you do a little searching. If not, Giant Nimble is delicious.
  6. What you are describing was my 2020. 4/5 of the Valley area was dancing in the rain and we were over 10" below MDT's norm's at one point...over 11 actually. People in Harrisburg were rafting down Front street while my grass died...not browned, died (and my insurance company paid to resod.)
  7. Finally in the books for July rain and I can confirm that we had some circulation to the rain as it feel. Not saying a tornado but it was not normal. Mow number 9 will be coming up this week. About a half inch here. 1.3" for the last 3 weeks.
  8. I do have a house in Washington County if that matters. Dry as a bone there too.
  9. Large area averages as of/including Sat.
  10. Yep. Does not look great at the moment.
  11. Dry, dry, dry over here. D2 coming next week of we strike out this weekend.
  12. .05......1/20th of inch. Up to .80 in the last over 2 weeks.
  13. Smokey as hell still. Hrrr dropped ball.
  14. Smokey and 79 early nooners. People are driving with their lights on.
  15. Under 12" for the year here. This is not as bad as the Drought of 2020 when we had about 8-9" at this point. We should be around 19" using HGR's normals.
  16. Under 2" for the month here. Our norm is below MDT's Norm but still over 1" under it. About 7-8" behind for the year now.
  17. I can still smell it. A little surprised it is so prevalent still. It is quite a bit worse now than a couple hours ago.
  18. A smokey 66 this AM. The panels on the HRRR show the smoke but the density is not that bad....ground truth here, it is about 75% bad as it was at its worse.
  19. Smoke had cleared out nicely here this afternoon but piling back in this evening.
  20. Yea, did not think of that. Today really drives home our inability to forecast convection. The 3K has not been doing well lately but this graphic is worth it just due to the length of the line.
  21. Baltimore Jack stole it from H-Burg. They are getting hammered. Shrew getting in on the deal.
  22. Another Harrisburg jack incoming. Quick one it seems.
