Early December last year was decent...17" or so in that one event with about 27" for the month. Then it went downhill. The past two years have been under-performing but most winters are decent with good latitude for SWFEs and great coastal blizzards. Being close to the water can hurt sometimes but not always. Where in Hampton are you? I grew up in N. Hampton.
Looks cold enough to retain some of my meager pack this weekend despite the rain and wait for some chances next week. Better than what had been advertised a few days ago.
Under performed here. 2" measured this morning. Snow was nice to look at last night and very wintery feel today with some blowing snow. Went for a walk around the neighborhood and noticed the crackling sound in the trees when the wind blew enough to fracture the ice clinging to the branches. My old place in Nottingham must have done fairly well.
Sucker hole planted itself right over my house for the last hour. Will need to make up for it fast to even get to low end 4" amounts but we'll see. 35/33
Congrats...enjoy up there. Maybe you've brought some luck...this wasn't looking like much of anything a week ago. Keep complaining your way to big snows and we'll all benefit.
Euro not as good for here as it was at 0z (not sure what 6z had). Need it a tad east and cooler. But at least it's a legit nor'easter, which has been hard to come by of late.
Are models entering wobble mode now? Seems like we're going to be shifting east and west over the next 36 hours albeit in smaller increments as we get closer.
If you like "in the rough" lobster, Chauncey Creek over in Kittery does a nice job. Haven't been there in years so not sure if they've softened to appease the tourists but it was mostly bring your own everything except the lobster and maybe steamers.
