Coldest morning on the last day of the month. Down to 21F. Month will finish with just over 5" of rain.

Nice winter night out there. High of 39 today and now 25 with crunchy snow under foot in the yard.

Looks like 1.11", which is pretty close to other stations nearby so the new Davis seems to be set up ok.

I remember visiting the Admiral Peary Museum of arctic exploration at Bowdoin some time back in the early 90s. Just made me think of how crazy those people were trying to get to the North Pole, let alone the South Pole, with such low-tech equipment.

Things are definitely accelerating color-wise even along the coast. Nothing in full "bloom" but the edges are getting pretty vibrant in the maples. Oaks around here seem like they're going to reddish-brown already which I assume is drought-related more than anything.
