  1. Past few days in Lincoln Lakes region of Maine have been delightful. Just a few showers the other night but mostly Stein and light breezes with temps in the 70s-low 80s. Heading back south tomorrow for a brief time and then back here for some more time. Hoping the bayou swamp weather is brief.
  2. Beautiful evening by the lake after a mostly cloudy day .
  3. Headed to lake house today for a week or two depending on weather. Looks pretty good to start anyway and hoping the rain days are relatively few. I do like a good storm up there, especially at night.
  4. 12.48 for July. That's way more snow than I received in January.
  5. Only .5 here but getting into that heavier stuff now. Should eclipse 12" for July.
  6. Getting a little gnarly out there now. Looks like the pope is getting it good up in Dover.
  7. 10.18" of rain so far this month. It would be neat to say we got a foot of rain in July but Thursday would have to come through in a big way for that to happen.
  8. GFS now agrees with Euro and clears things out next Friday. Thank goodness. Looks great for Rails and Ales in Portland followed by dinner.
  9. Saw an albino porcupine earlier this evening walking along the road. Looked liked a giant, walking cotton ball. Wish I had stopped to take a pic but there were already a couple of cars pulled over with people trying to usher it back into the woods.
  10. First decent light show tonight with the first cell that popped. Will see if the main line holds together.
  11. Loudest storm of the season this morning. Scrambled to shut windows as the wind kicked up too. Downpour dropped about .6
  12. 90/75. Lawn done in time for the next monsoon although tomorrow looks mostly dry until late around here.
  13. Socked in, 68F. Another .03 in the tipper today. Nice cluster of storms on the MA/CT border.
  14. Hit 9.00" of rain for the month today. Raindemic.
  15. 3.67" since yesterday...sump pump running constantly. Over 7" now MTD.
  16. Damn, sump pump getting a workout later tomorrow.
  17. Quietly picked up another .25 this morning...now up to 3.6 MTD. Gulf of ME probably knocked down those cells by the time they got here. 64/59 beautiful morning.
  18. Missed the action today but could get an early wake up tomorrow morning by the looks of things.
  19. I was curious. Through the end of June at Concord... Year Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Season 2021 1.89 2.72 1.45 2.86 2.99 1.29 13.2 1938 3.94 2.11 2.07 2.18 3.11 5.12 18.53 At Blue Hill... Year Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Season 2021 2.32 5.68 2.17 4.89 5.6 2.2 22.86 1938 3.79 3.14 2.45 2.69 4.96 9.03 26.06 Certainly comparable though '38 was wetter. July and August of '38 added 10 more inches at Concord and 15 more at Blue Hill. That's a lot of rain.
  20. Sheet drizzle and 58F. 3.3" for the month so far.
  21. Quite the July 2 weather. Midnight high of 67 but haven't been above 60 since 5AM.
  22. Already more rain in July (1.77) than all of June (1.52). Pattern having an identity crisis. July will probably blow on average and August will be perfect.
