Light Snow <——- Currently
The snow accumulates and gets washed away before accumulating again.
The differences are rather extreme. I’m in Hauppauge and it’s white as snow, yet in Central Islip it’s just wet, this is a latitudinal difference of maybe 3,000 feet.
Light to low end moderate snowfall during the squall. Nothing heavy enough to accumulate. Sunny again.
As much as I loathe winter I’m a snow squall fan.
Maybe it’s the longer days and slightly stronger sunshine but Feb torches feel much more appropriate than Dec torches to me (though I welcome both with open arms). Being on the coast we are sort of an outlier with Dec being the warmest winter month as opposed to Feb, it’s normally the opposite.
