The differences are rather extreme. I’m in Hauppauge and it’s white as snow, yet in Central Islip it’s just wet, this is a latitudinal difference of maybe 3,000 feet.
Light to low end moderate snowfall during the squall. Nothing heavy enough to accumulate. Sunny again.
As much as I loathe winter I’m a snow squall fan.
Maybe it’s the longer days and slightly stronger sunshine but Feb torches feel much more appropriate than Dec torches to me (though I welcome both with open arms). Being on the coast we are sort of an outlier with Dec being the warmest winter month as opposed to Feb, it’s normally the opposite.
