  1. I tried for a while to keep the grass alive, but i'm done. Without any help at all from the sky there's no point, and no doubt watering prohibitions are coming again soon anyway.
  2. I don't see locations on mobile, where are you?
  3. I'm right at 1.25" since right before Memorial Day. At this point I don't know what can produce meaningful precipitation in the Valley anymore.
  4. It's the equivalent of cold in the winter.
  5. I can see how today is going to go. Little cell moving east once again just evaporated into thin air on my doorstep.
  6. I'm sure it won't happen here, but that would satisfy the Nut Kick Law, as I'm vacationing out west. Where it will now probably be hot and dry there.
  7. Almost as good as that July 4 in 2013.
  8. Where else can you get a cold front plow into a 95 / 76F airmass and not generate so much as a cloud.
  9. That's great. I'll be there Sunday. Hooray.
  10. Got .12" overnight. Useless.
  11. Almost comical watching those cells coming out of WV evaporate into thin air on our doorstep. I received 4.3" the entire MET summer last year and this summer is making that one look like monsoon season. Unreal.
  12. Hoping for a lot of juicy OHV lows. That appears to be the only way left for those of us west of the BR to get meaningful precip.
  13. Sounds exactly like my location.
  14. Unreal. Rain has found its way all around me. It's been drizzling here for 30 minutes while winds howled and thunder shook. And my concrete driveway is barely damp. This is as bad a nuts kick as I've experienced here. And that is saying a lot.
  15. Not even close to a drop today. We live in the God damn Sahara.
  16. Nice evening and morning. Wish we could keep this. And add some rain.
  17. He's probably referring to agriculture. You forget that a lack of rain has implications beyond the immediate consumption in the cities. Most farms lack the ability to pull water from municipal reservoirs for irrigation, and most out here don't irrigate at all; it shouldn't be necessary on the east coast. And don't forget the effects of last year's wild fires. This drought appears to be hitting earlier than even last year's, possibly causing more harm to the growing season than last.
  18. I need a house on top of Spruce Knob.
