  1. Lol. More rain for the haves. I've never seen disparity to anything even close to this degree.
  2. All the rain to the north again. Yet another shutout. It has become impossible to rain here.
  3. Aside from the arid conditions, today is as nice a day we'll ever see in August. Overcast, cool breeze. Fantastic.
  4. .34" from the epic severe yesterday and .10" on Thursday. Aug total - .44" Flooding concerns are mounting.
  5. Round 2 here, 30 seconds of moderate rain. Banner day.
  6. Looked like we had a chance for a second. Looked ominous, then it blew through as a big bag of nothing. Lots of thunder, little wind, and nothing but a few minutes of moderate rain....not even downpour. This place is the absolute death of precip.
  7. Can already see the split forming to the SW. Exact same storm motion as all summer long. And the current DP is 77F. As high as I can remember seeing. Will make this failure all the more painful.
  8. Yes. And will be all day, no doubt. Enjoy your storms. Again.
  9. Radar has the exact same look as most events this summer. Storms moving up SW, one batch breaks off from the line and rides along the ridges just to my west then jumps east once north of me, and another batch to the south makes its way east and blasts CVA. The northern half of the valley is left high and dry. Wash, rinse, repeat.
  10. How shocking, no rain again. And another 90F day out of the blue.
  11. Just let me know when we will finally get an area-wide rain threat.
  12. July total: 1.44" High: 100F (7-29)
  13. 57 for the low. Two full supermoons this month. 0.0" On pace for a complete shutout this month.
  14. And rain slides to the north yet again.
  15. Sounds amazing. Safe travels.
  16. And that's a wrap for July. Perfect ending for the worst summer month I can recall in my lifetime. Almost everyday 90F or above, as well as one of the driest. And just dry in our little corner of VA . Total for the month a whopping 1.41". Most areas tripled that, or even exceeded that multiple. Capped off with a triple digit day featuring a dry frontal passage with dessicating winds. This was worse than anything 2010 threw at us.
  17. Dry frontal passage at 100 / 73. Only this place. I swear to Christ.
  18. The wind is gusting to 40 mph. The nearest storm is 30 miles east. It looks and feels (with the wind) like the after passage of a winter cold front, except it's 99F and tropical humidity. There are dust clouds blowing all around. It makes no fucking sense.
  19. Very windy here. Hotter than yesterday and 5F higher than forecast. And nothing but a couple fair weather flat cumulus clouds.
  20. Clipped by 3 storms. .10, .18, and .07". Not once could we get a down pour, but better than the usual nothing; the ground is wet, Each time the bulk went north. Winchester has had a banner day.
  21. Perfectly positioned between cells blowing up south of winchester and ones crushing front royal. The tail of the one south of winchester back built just enough as it's leaving to get me .10". It's a joke, but it's the best we've had in a while, and apparently the best we can hope for. Now listening to the thunder booming.
  22. Officially recorded .01" from the storm that clobbered winchester yesterday, or the equivalent if someone were to pour an 8oz cup of water over my entire subdivision. Jackpot! That brings my July total to 1.06".
