  1. Today will get me to 20 inches of snow on the season. It mostly came 1 to 3 inches at a time. Snow was falling a lot from November to now, Mid March.
  2. Another heavy squall underway out there currently. The wind kicks up, vis drops below 1/4th mile and it just rips for 15 or so minutes.
  3. These snow squalls are amazing. Near blizzard conditions with them. Just had 28mph winds and 1/8th mile vis for about ten minutes.
  4. Added about 1/2 inch of snow from the NW this afternoon. Looks like more upstream as dark approaches. Temp is down to 30.
  5. Back home to 1.75 inches of snow. It really really poured down for a solid hour. There was an nearly an inch in town. Down to flurries now. Probably melt off before dark.

  7. This was about 45 minutes ago. My power went off so I came down to town. It's beginning to get white down in town now. Very heavy snow in that band Holston_River_Rambler posted above.

  9. The back edge of this that's over Shocker and Knoxtron looks extremely heavy on Radar.

  11. I'm getting into very heavy stuff now, running about an hour or hour and a half behind Shocker and Knoxtron, but now have a dusting. Flake size is down to quarters but more of them, temp has dropped to 33.
  12. Mrx issued a wwa for Scott and Morgan but no further east.

  14. Looking at a cam at Memorial Parkway right now and it's a white out!
  15. Madison Alabama web cam shows it ripping fat flakes of snow, looks like half dollars.

Extreme Heat Warning, Blizzard Warning, Tornado Warning, Severe Thunderstorm Warning, Winter Storm Warning, High Wind Warning, Flood Warning, Ice Storm Warning, Freeze Warning, Gale Warning, Red Flag Warning, Storm Warning (purple in the western Gulf), Lake Shore Flood Warning, Special Marine Warning, Heavy Freezing Spray Warning all in effect in the U.S currently. Maybe the wildest weather night ever. I think the only weather warnings that aren't currently active are Tropical Storm, Hurricane, Extreme Cold, Coastal Flood, and a Flash Flood.
  17. The 03Z RAP gives 2-4 inches from the western Plateau to the Mountains. Valley areas included, even down into NE Alabama and NW Georgia.
  18. Surprised that I'm around 40 percent for more than 1 inch of snow for Monday.
  19. This was around 9am this morning at 2600 feet at my cousin's house. It snowed pretty hard here but didn't stick. It was 33 here, probably 30 or 31 up there.
